I felt the need to write this after Taylor’s performance of soon you’ll get better and a little bit of how I relate to it. Even though I know just about nobody will see it. Last night was probably maybe the 4th time I’ve listened to it since the album came out. But I appreciate the song so much.

The world we’re living in is so difficult right now and my heart is hurting. My heart hurts for everyone and it’s a weird grieving experience everyday. My heart is with everyone who has lost and who is on the frontlines fighting this.

I’m blessed in many ways and struggling in ways too and everyday is a battle.

My 2020 has been a struggle since January 23rd this year. My step dad passed away suddenly and our family has been hurting since with many emotions and anxiety. A while after I actually got a dream salon job late February which was a blessing and gave me motivation that I needed. If I wouldn’t have gotten the job idk what I would have done. Flash forward to where we are now in quarantine. I basically lost both my jobs temporarily and have no income. (I also serve tables part time for extra money) Sadly I’m not getting a stimulus check bc my mom and step dad claimed me last year, but you know it is what it is. Though I have bills to pay and no money coming in and have constant anxiety on what’s to come next and if I’ll even have a job to return to is scary to think about.

Sometimes It almost feels like a nightmare I’ve made up in my head of how bad things could even possibly be. But I know it’s real.

Anyway... I live in Fort Worth and we planned to go out of town (it was canceled) March 15th and so I’ve been “stuck” with family at my moms in quarantine which is truly a blessing bc I’m not sure where I would be mentally if I was home by myself in my apartment.

But point being of this post... reach out to your friends who you know are struggling with mental health and anxiety. This is a daily struggle for them and for people like me. The ones who are going through unimaginable things everyday while having to stay home and cope and grieve and try to continue to motivate themselves to just get out of bed and brush their hair or whatever it may be.
