long story short: a STEM major and a humanities major who are not really fond of each other got assigned to the same project.

admin3 is an entity expert. i headcanon her as a woman for a little bit of gender diversity, so it's going to be she\her from now on

she studies captured entities, monitors their behavior and develops theories about what attracts them, what they want, and where they come from.

in the ai ​​project she does roughly the same thing – monitors speedruns, records patterns and reasonings in assimilation's actions and writes down the choices andre made during successful runs. even though we don't know really know why andre and assimilation were created, they are equally important to the admins. i'm not sure whether the admins study the anomalies themselves, trying to figure out whether their behavior can be understood and controlled, or the players and their chances of winning against dangerous entities. imma be real, looking at admin6 i doubt they give a damn about children, but who knows? maybe the once-noble goal simply got lost along the way.

admin3 is responsible for assimilation's emotional hunger (as well as crazy emotional needs), since inflicting horror is kind of its whole deal. she is also the one who decided to split andre's consciousness into separate components to make it easier to control. we can see that when andre enters assimilation's dimension, she bans feargeyt6774 (supposedly, the fear part of andre's brain) to keep the speedrun going

admin4 is a sort of an IT engineer. everything related to secure communication between admins and a stable connection to gridworld servers is his responsibility, so he spends most of his time fiddling with hardware and writing commands. he's chill and lazy af – if he can avoid doing something for work, he won't. sure, he'll come up with an excuse or quickly glue things together so others will stop bothering him. he's still a professional in his field, so everything, but sometimes he lets things slip through. this isn't assim's and andre's first escape attempt, after all.

he's quite the show-off. he also probably likes shooters and techno music. i think back in the days he was a big hatsune miku enjoyer, so he payed tribute to her through andre's design lol

in the ai ​​project he's responsible for the technical part. so that's coding, testing, keeping the simulation area running and other things i am too unqualified to talk about. his 'ehh-it'll-do' approach is clearly evident in andre - he was created to speedrun, and that's the only thing he really does. he barely talks and never stops moving no matter the consequences. even if one of his chatters is getting in the way, the admins can always cut them off

at the same time, i believe andre IS evolving in his own way. this is especially noticeable in the chat where everyone lives by their own rules. i'll just quote the note: "P1 PsychoNetworks can just leave sometimes. Debug logs showed one of them just "got bored" and left. Words lack the parameters to describe my confusion."

however, andre's basic software is so primitive he simply doesn't have the ability to grasp the reality around him as deeply as assimilation. the restrictions in the system are too strong. oh, and the admins have probably tweaked a lot of his settings during previous runs, such as his insensivity and unquestioning obedience.

neither admin3 nor admin4 consider their creations sentient or alive. i think that's pretty obvious from the fact both of them dispose of them without a second thought.

admin4 is more chill about it. he kind of thinks they're on the same level as chat-bots or interactive npcs. since he was responsible for every line of their code, he sees nothing autonomous about them whatsoever. and while andre amuses him a little, he feels like assimilation is annoying and overly pretentious (i wonder who could've made it this way...)

admin3 doesn't accept their sentience purely on an ideological level. due to her constant work with anomalies and their victims, she feels nothing good toward them. even assimilation, while being her magnum opus, is considered a dangerous play with the devil. she thinks creatures like it shouldn't exist, and once she gets to the bottom of their essence, people will finally be able to fight back.

andre on the other hand is as simple as a rock. she knows every single thing he's made of, after all. he also occupies such a bland and easily replaceable role in the project that she doesn't even care about him in the long run.

there's A LOT of other admin headcanons in my head, but unfortunately we haven't seen them yet. except for admin6, of course. i think from what we've been shown we can deduce that he's responsible for monitoring players and their statuses, as well as compiling personal documents. "collin is a bitch to handle" and all that

i really like to sort different responsibilities between the admins, so if i were to list them… one of them is in charge, working towards his grandiose (who knows what) plan. they're the one who hires all the admins and assigns responsibilities.

the second one is in charge of gridworld's construction and the admin all-mighty software. they're also probably the one who opens doors to players' worlds and adjusts the hub for new minecraft versions. basically, they're a modder (admin4 either loves them or hates them, nothing in between).

the third one is directly involved in capturing anomalies. they spend most of their time in players' worlds, beating up entites. at the same time they do their best to keep gridworld and the admins safe, so that no infection or anomaly can accidentally spread.

the fourth one is in charge of collecting information. all the real names, addresses, and personal profiles of the poor kids playing - it's their job. they're also probably responsible for cleaning up information leaked online when things get really bad.

there are two more people i'm not sure about at the moment, but it's okay. i can always split some of the things i mentioned between them. maybe in the next part it will turn out that the admins are filming hardcore challenges on youtube. you can never be sure, the canon will destroy me anyway
