I think my fave design ive come up with so far is the fresno nightcrawler, esp since im trying to keep most of the creatures 'plausible' in real life. I already want to make a side project for the comic that's like a critterpedia explaining all of the biology and cultural customs of all the cryptids, and I probably will do that because so many north American cryptids are unknown or just extremely vague, so it would be good to have the extra reading to understand the way I will portray a lot of the critters

BTW as silly or stupid as the plot sounds is actually a story about grief and mourning the past and overcoming fear
