its never gonna happen but i wish there was a frostpunk-style game where you play as the pale king, i wanna see how long i can last before the end inevitably comes

#mine #fp #managed to last until day 63 before i decided to start over tho!#i was stuck in a cycle of full discontent and reeling it back in then having it rise again when the temperature lowered #and since it didnt seem like the weather was gonna stay warmer long enough for me to progress any further #i decided to just call it quits #i assume the ending i get if i saw things through is most likely the exile ending #cause i Did manage to set things up enough for base level survival #but again it was basically a loop of discontent recover discontent and i just didnt wamma deal with it anymore

wasnt gonna show off but decided nah so heres my achievements on my ending

i got built to serve, bread and games, and shai hulud summoner on my first run but the rest is on my 7th which was my first run that didnt end in coal running out and was basically almost perfect

somehow my second successful run (the 10th run) was simultaneously better (worst case scenarios got delayed a lot more or just straight up didnt happen, rescued 700+ ppl as opposed to the previous 600+, got 0 londoners, and managed to 0 discontent 100 hope by day 30) and worse (lots of ppl died in the storm, only the frozen family died in my first attempt)

#mine.txt #it felt so fucking good getting that 0 discontent and 100 hope when the storm cleared #i almost got it twice but i only ever got to 90 before winterhome happened #i was weirdly really good at keeping discontent down and pretty good at keeping hope up #(tho i was too slow and only ever got down to 10 londoners before they left 😔)#so i went with the faith route cause i Assume order is more geared towards discontent #though after watching a few frostpunk vids they might be essentially the same??#idk i'll find out once i perfect my strat and decide to branch out #also i placed buildings really weird cause i didnt know you can rotate the camera and buildings 😭#but it ended up helping me in the end so 😎#also also i managed to get to 15 automatons cause i dismantled resource deposits as they dwindled;#ome of my factories (i had 2) when i decided making prosthetics was too much of a resource sink when most ppl couldnt even work;#and almost all my food buildings during the storm which included 4 hothouses and had my engineers working #i actually signed emergency shift but i emded up never using it even during the storm lmao #i also didnt know you can go into tesla city i assumed it was bait lol #i coulda made 16 automatons cause i had one steam core left but i couldnt afford to dismantle any more buildings :(#i mean i still had 3 hunting tents left cause i thought you could continue after but i couldnt sacrifice any other steel buildings #nor risk the automatons to stop gathering coal or tending to the medical posts #i ended up with 4000+ coal left over so maybe i coulda relegated two of them to the iron mines but ah well #anyways yeah the only controversial laws i signed i believe were emergency shifts; overcrowding; and soup #possibly the faith keepers as well?? idr if they were controversial or not
