I dreamt I was talking to M's father about safe blood concentrations for some drug or other. He mentioned that the standard blood concentration for a general anaesthetic during a medical procedure was 0.1g / L (I don't think this is accurate).
Suddenly, I was in the hospital bed waiting to be put under anaesthesia for a procedure. I had the needle in, and I think it wasn't meant to hit the concentration needed to put me to sleep so soon, but the nurse had messed up the settings and I could feel myself starting to pass out. I forced myself to get up and turned the dial back to prevent it.
Later on, the procedure actually began, and I was put under properly. But rather than going unconscious, I entered some kind of other world, a black and white copy of the operation room except there were souls wandering around it, sitting on the edges of counters and such.
When I woke up from the anaesthesia, the procedure was done, but there was no difference in how I felt.
Then I was on the road in a big city in a country I didn't recognise, and being directed up increasingly remote roads on a very tall mountain. I reached the very pinnacle, a very small plateau with precipitous drops on every side. Beyond, on all sides, was the city. It was cold; I was trying really hard to take a panoramic photo of the entire landscape, but also trying very hard not to fall off.
I think I was up there with a person who seemed to be a merger of my partner M, and my ex Y. They told me to take a photo of the conjunction of Jupiter, Venus and Mars, which was flawlessly visible from here.
We went down the slopes on our shuttle bus. On the bus or something, I ran into 2 other people I had had a crush on. We all lay down together, as if I was romantically involved with all of them?
Down on the streets, one of them told me the name of the city. I got a text from my brother asking me if I could get a photo of the tower (name forgotten). I looked up a main road, and it seemed the city had been designed specifically to create line of sight to that very tower from every cardinal direction. It stood on the horizon, a skyscraper with a zigzagged silhouette and beams of spotlights radiating from it. I got my photo.
Then I went back to my accommodation, which was an apartment in a tall building, with a potted plant in front. It was reminiscent of my aunt's apartment in KL. When I left to go back home, I left the key outside the front gate, next to the pot.
