it’s still so ridiculous that Dr. Erland was like “ok Cinder meet me in Africa” as if that’s not a whole continent 😭 and no other details, not a city or even a country (if they even have those in the African Union bc i think the Eastern Commonwealth doesn’t rlly have countries bc it’s never mentioned and Kai is the emperor of the entire area, but it’s also specified that Scarlet lives in France so the Eastern Confederation has countries, so i guess some continents do and some don’t??)

The Eastern Commonwealth is a country, it has provinces e.g. Japan. The European Federation is a coalition of countries. It isn't specified if the other union members consider themselves countries or federations.
