What i appreciate about guild wars 2 is that a lot of fantasy settings just take "humans are the basic default type of character" as a given but guild wars has an actual in-game explanation as to why Humans From Real Life are there in the first place and treated as default and their language is used as the "common" language. Some powerful interdimensional beings showed up one day from who knows where and brought humans with them and told the humans to go do colonialism on their behalf. And boy did the humans do that
