in this peice I wanted to express how the corona virus is getting out of control and spreading rapidly. the Textiles range from a more controlled virus within the Petri dish to a the virus over flowing the dish and mutating beond control.

Appliqué and embroidery inspired buy virus cells

Creating some fashion sketches inspired by corona virus cells in the body. I tried to also take inspiration from hazmask suits.

Decollage peice inspired by the pandemic.

After looking at various artists that work with wire, I was inspired to create a mask made out of wire. The mask represents the physical discomfort of the pandemic on everyone and resembles chain mail armour that is used to protect soldiers in battle.

Using a Lino block I have created a pattern that resembles the corona virus cell.
