Pico spotted the young boy from across the hall. He doesn't want to approach him right away, out of fear of being embarrassed. When he finally gathers up the courage to go over, he does so slowly and quietly. He taps the boy's shoulder, kicks an invisible stone on the floor, looks up, and asks, "Are you a pirate~?" When he was tapped on the shoulder, the Lord turned to face a blonde child not much younger than himself--staring up? Why was he doing that? They were practically the same height, but perhaps he saw something on the ceiling, Ciel thought, and quickly dismissed his curiosity.
Wait, did the boy(?) just ask if he was a pirate? The Earl pinched the bridge of his nose and withheld a groan before he remembered his manners and uttered a reply.
"Other than my eye patch, do I resemble a pirate in the slightest?" In short; no. He immediately regretted asking the rhetorical question, which he was sure the other would answer.
