computer situation update

i might be away for a while because like... shit. what am i even supposed to do? apart from take everything from the beginning?
i mean its what im going to do, obviously. im not going to give up
but it might take me a while to get on my feet again
and all my save games are lost so fallout 3/fnv/da2/etc games will all have to be picked up again in the future, probably from the start again

something bad happened to me
so last night around 8 pm, my computer crashed. like, no big deal right, computers crash all the time, this stuff happens.. except that it wouldnt turn back on. over and over and over again i tried, it could physically turn on the machine, but it could no longer boot windows.. the os was corrupted, somehow.. (definitely my fault)
this morning i woke up and i got to the best buy the moment they opened like, waiting outside in the freezing cold wind without a jacket, clutching my laptop baby in my arms and everything, and when i got it checked out they basically said like. 50-50 shot we get all your files (my games, my videos, my legacy recordings, my sound bytes, my channel graphics, and more) safe and sound.. but it will take 5 business days
so, until then, i’m stuck in a kind of limbo. im borrowing a family member’s laptop to take notes in class, but there’s no way i could swing a recording on this thing. from now until next wednesday, i’m not really going to have any opportunity to record. next week, i’ll find out the good or bad news- either everything is okay, the channel will continue as normal, or, the thing i’m really scared of, i’ll have to restart.. everything. redownload everything. redraw everything.
the thing about youtube is that consistency is important- you miss even a week, you can see a huge drop in your viewership. that’s why i get so anxious, so full of self-hate when i have to go away for a week or more. and i’m sorry. i just want to ask you to keep watching my videos while i’m gone, to not forget about me, no matter how long it takes. and i’m sorry.
(tldr: my laptop is broken and it may be up to a month before cicada king fully recovers from the loss of data, im sorry)
