Searching for a new job in the current market is actually so humiliating and dehumanizing. And I'm not even looking for a big girl jobβ’οΈ. I'm simply looking for a step up from lower level, part time, associate, food service, retail, etc. AND I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING!! And at this point I'm like okay well, maybe I'll stay in the food industry, but I'll advocate for slightly higher pay since I have tons of experience in that area and leadership experience (NOT TO MENTION A FUCKING COLLEGE DEGREE) and these bitches wanna play in my face saying the most we can pay is $14 an hour........ I'm about to start a warehouse fire βοΈ
It's just so infuriating because I know my worth and my capabilities and strongsuits, but I talk to these hiring managers and they're like "ok how about you start at the very bottom with dirt pay." HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GAIN MORE EXPERIENCE IF NOBODY IS EVER WILLING TO HIRE SOMEONE AND TRAIN THEM TO GET THAT EXPERIENCE?????? I shouldn't need to have 5 plus years experience for something just above an associate level position -- for something they could train me for in a month's time (if that). I shouldn't have to beg for livable wages and decent hours at a company worth millions/billions of dollars.
