Thank you!^^In SAI, if you set a paper texture and fringe (right hand column) to your layer you'll already have a good imitation of traditional paint.For paper texture I chose anything from the default Paper, Watercolor A, Watercolor B or sometimes custom watercolor paper stock. Scale and strength settings depend on canvas size.The Fringe setting gives your color a water edge, similar to the look of when you use wet watercolor. The fringe is dependent on the layer, when I put in a second darker shading, I make new layer so the second shading will have fringe setting as well. Again, width and strength settings depend on your canvas size.Default tools I use are Brush for putting on color and Oil Water for spreading/blending. I use transparent color (the gray/white checkered square) on my Brush to soften out the color, it is similar to using eraser.Hope my explanation makes sense^^;

Not sure what default you meant, sorry beforehand if I did not answer your intended question. If you're talking about the tools, I almost never use the default brushes given without changing the options. In both SAI and Clip, I always have a custom round brush, frayed brush, and blending tool handy.Clip Studio Paint can be bought at: http://www.clipstudio.netThe site and installation is all in japanese though and you need to create an account with them.If language is a problem, an official english version of CSP is out called Manga Studio 5: http://manga.smithmicro.com/mangastudio5From what I heard it is the same thing as Clip translated.Hope that helps^^
