according to this article from february, the entire project has been cancelled. sounds like the park’s parent company is searching for a new location but it’s unclear if the cec partnership will continue. they might still have a contractual obligation but I wouldn’t be surprised if some of cec’s more ambitious plans are in limbo now under their new leadership.

Cheese was actually supposed to be a coyote for this guy's new restaurant named "Coyote Pizza," but the suit he ordered that he thought was a coyote ended up clearly being a rat, so he said "Fuck it let's rename and rebrand the whole situation" so he changed it to "Rick Rat's Pizza," calling the horrific monstrosity of a costume Rick Rat.
