I know IBS is a disability but I often forget to think of it as one because for me my whole thought process is "damn, going to the toilet is so physically exhausting because of my stomach issues and chronic fatigue" and "i hope im not super gassy today because i have x thing to do and i would very much like to not die of embarrassment" and that's kind of the extent of it. And then I remember "oh yeah the limited food intake, physical exhaustion, and bad stomach pain and cramping are in fact disabling to me.

IBS stands for I Be Shittin, and then subsequently, I Be Showerin

Can we normalize talking about our stomach issues without shame? It's a little hard to be asked what's wrong and not be able to say something like, "I have multiple stomach issues that give me explosive diarrhea just by breathing. Leave me alone. I feel disgusted with myself and want to rip my intestines out" instead of something silly like, "Oh, I'm just a little sick of my stomach haha".

I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare
