Joanne: ‘Nice to meet you Stella, My name is Joanne Dankworth.’

Stella: ‘Is this your first year too?’

Joanne: ‘Yes, would you like to sit next to me?’

Teacher: ‘Children please come inside, it is time for your lessons to start!’

Bertha: ‘Are you ready for your first day at school?’

Joanne: ‘I’m so excited! But also a bit nervous…’

Bertha: ‘That is normal Sweetie. However you shall make friends, you’ll see!’

Joanne: ’I hope you are right Mom.’

Bertha: ‘Goodbye Jo, have a nice day!’

Earl: ‘Actually I have some very happy news. I am engaged to be married.’

Bertha: ‘Congratulations, who is the fortunate girl?’

Earl: ‘Her name is Rosalie and she is amazing Bertha. I love her very much.’

The McDowells came over to celebrate Bertha’s birthday.

Joanne: ‘Come in Grandma.’

Gilbert: ‘Mom does all the cooking and baking around here. We should bake a cake for her birthday!’

Joanne: ‘That is a good idea, but Daddy… Do you know how to bake a cake?’

Another one of my 1900s Windenburg lots. This build is made up of 3 apartment buildings. Only the ground floors are furnished. In the middle there is a functional café. For gameplay reasons the other two buildings include a grocery store and an art gallery. For this my CC list is rather extensive. Bertha: ‘Sweetie, your father just hired a farm hand, so you and I have to help out less. You will have all the time you need to study as you are starting school on monday.’

Joanne: ‘Yay! Will you be able to help me as well if I need it?’

Bertha: ‘I just got a letter from my aunt Margaret.’

Gilbert: ‘The one who lives in Windenburg? What did she write?’

Bertha: ‘Let me see… Ah! My older cousin Hans got married. She is not of nobility even though Hans will inherit the barony. However, my aunt says she is delightful and they are very much in love.’

Gilbert: ‘Good day Jerrod, thanks for coming on such short notice.’

Jerrod: ‘Good day to you Mr.Dankworth! It was my pleasure.’

Gilbert: ‘I do not want to beat around the bush. Would you like to work here on our farm?’

Bertha: ‘Darling we still have an issue with too much farm work. Even with Jo helping out with the chickens I do not have enough time for Sam and chores like cleaning and cooking.’

Gilbert: ‘I wanted to bring it up to you already but we had so much going on lately. As it turns out our annual income increased to a level that we should be considered middle class. I do believe we might be able to afford a farm hand.’

Bertha: ‘Oh that is good news indeed! Do you have somebody in mind?’

Gilbert went ahead and actually blew out the candles. He is now an adult.

Gilbert: ‘Hmmm your mother did a superb job with this chocolate cake.’

Accidentally everybody's birthdays happened to be on the same week. Gilbert’s and Samantha’s was actually on the same day.

Bertha: ‘Oh Sweetpea go ahead and blow out the candles!’

Bertha and Gilbert decided that they would get a children sized bicycle for Jo. It seemed a good way for her to get to the school.

Gilbert: ‘Sweetie, we have a birthday present for you!’
