Here is some album art I designed for for the brand new debut album of @themcbroomsistersofficial who have been Pink Floyd’s backup singers (and many others) since the early eighties. The album is entitled, Black Floyd. I was asked to create an illustration from a photograph of them initially based on a particular style they admired. I then realized they needed help to design the rest of the artwork as they only had an unfinished concept created. I took the original cover concept and made some slight revisions to its colour and cleaned it up and then designed the rest of the album art. The McBroom Sisters are @durgadiva and @loreleimcbroom who sing both lead and backing vocals on a combination of classic Pink Floyd covers and their own original songs. It’s a phenomenal sounding album which also features @fperdomo and @davekerzner who I’ve collaborated with on several music projects. On a side note, stay tuned as Durga, Lorelei sing on my forthcoming EP that I recorded with @fperdomo and @matttecu. A gig poster I designed for one of my live performances back in 2013! At this show, I handed out official Cirque Du Soleil juggling equipment that was gifted to me by my friend who founded @higginsbrothers. I also gave out lollipops and other sweets. The @hamiltonaerialgroup accompanied me with choreographed routines on silks and lyre. Following my set was the funtacular band, Jumple. I called the event, Christine’s Capricornesque! It was a show to celebrate my birthday and any Capricorn’s birthday. There was much laughter and love! At the end of the night, one of the bar owners tried to not pay me what was previously agreed upon which was annoying considering all the effort that was put into creating a wonderful experience that enhanced their establishment and the place was jam packed with a line up to get in! I made sure we got paid and now that bar is long gone. Damn right I’m worth it! Fourteen years ago today the first ever circumnavigation of the globe by only human power was completed. A proud Canadian first that I invested hours, weeks and months of my time to media manage, obtain title sponsorship and music supervise their documentary depicting this epic feat for Julie and Colin Angus. It was a great way to break into music after graduating from college!
