These are all fun to paint. Reference from NASA, birth of a star HH 30.

The collision didn't turn out how I wanted but I'm still happy with it currently. Might continue fiddling with it though but sometimes you got to put the brush down.

I struggled with spacing for this one too and made it flat. But it reminds me of an eye and has me thinking about some future possibilities!

Happy with this one! Having a lot of fun. I struggled with some of the stars and now I think it looks a little flat, or lacking depth. Going to have to revisit my shapes!

Practice mountain 4

It's coming back to me, this painting process felt so much better than the 3 mountains before this one. I cracked open a new brush too, love the softness when they're brand new!

Practice mountain 3

The process of painting this one was painful. Technically still a work in progress but the paint was not agree with me, I might have put to much oil as a base and it just spread everywhere.

Second mountain painting with colours! It's coming back to me slowly. Using different colours is a lot messier 😆 but with some practice hopefully the paintings will pop off the canvas!

It feels like I haven't painted in months!

My brushes got stiff too from the neglect, but we're back!

Really focusing on the layers and pulling the foreground forward.

Found a brush I like for grass.

Also focused on the mist between trees and mountain, really like how it came out.

Highlights for the tree are on the wrong side and it's difficult to see the tree.

Also difficult to tell there's three mountains here, should have made some most between the big and little one.

Bottom half of the mountain is perfect! That's what I'm going for, top half I struggled, too much paint.

Trees and bushes I struggled again.

I haven't made a wave in a while and it shows! I also wanted to make sand but it didn't turn out how I wanted.
