Spent the evening in the Gorge last night. Great times falling in the river and tumbling down hills getting covered in mud lol. Just the way I like it π have a great weekend everyone!! (at Columbia River Gorge, Wa.)
π₯πVIOLETππ₯ Single exposure light painting. Nikon D7000, Tokina 11-16mm, bulb mode. f/5.6, ISO 100, 185 seconds. No shop...orb & moonlight only.
Something for #throwbackthursday... Two lenses/One exposure "ELECTRIC KOOlAID" An old fav of mine! Started with a 32mm at f/22shooting straight down at a sheet of glass, crystal, a large coin, water drops, all back lit. Then (while still shooting in bulb mode) switch lens to 8mm fisheye (manual aperture on this lens so switch to f/8 for next part) and move to the second pre-placed tripod. Then bring in the silhouette with another light wand and presto lol π·π¦π¨ It's been awhile...I really should get this stuff out and do some more! No photoshop....only light βοΈπ (at The Dungeon "PDX")

Caption this #lightpainting βοΈπ ππ·π¦π¨ Have a great weekend π (at The Dungeon "PDX")
Orb spin and some waving of the trusty fire wand. I put the wand on strobe after making the flames....looked like my friend @darrenhopkinsphoto rolled thru on a collab lol. I've enjoyed Darren's light painting over on the ol fb for awhile now and it's great seeing him start posting his work here too. Check him out ππ I'm heading into the mountains for the weekend to relax and create...hope you all have a great weekend βοΈπ Nikon D7000, 8mm fisheye, bulb mode. f/3.5, ISO 200, 252 second exposure. "THRONE OF ICE" I've spent most of today clearing out memory cards for a camping trip this weekend. I found this other angle from my iceman post about three months ago. As much as I love to shoot in the dungeon in Portland, Oregon it's almost like going to practice and then I take it to nature for the big game haha! Looking forward to being in the woods for a few days....and who knows maybe I'll do a little light painting while I'm out thereπ ππ·π¦π¨ Nikon D7000, 8mm fisheye, bulb mode. f/8, ISO 100, 172 second single exposure. (at Mt Adams, Washington)
"Before challenging others, challenge yourself." A #throwbackthursday #lightpainting from 2013. A challenging shot captured in a single exposure with no photoshop editing. I used only a flashlight on myself to create the image. Nikon D7000, 8mm fisheye, bulb mode. f/8, ISO 100, 120 seconds. (at Battle Ground, Washington)
I asked for a few suggestions the other day for some light painting fun in the dungeon. I was fully set up to create an image @dariustwin suggested for Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors being eaten...but when I was all set to start the shot I realized I left my bag of colored lights at home. Pretty much shut down everyones that idea I wanted to try lol. Everything is still set up and ready to go so I'll go back and do it later this week. This one was the suggestion of @veronikacucu for a white light orb with light people being thrown away from it. That sounded like my kind of shot and I had the tools to do it. Just my white orb tool, small white LED light, and a little fill with a flashlight at the end. Gonna need a suggestion of the title now because it's a keeperπ Single exposure light painting, Nikon D7000, 8mm fisheye, bulb mode. f/5.6 for orb, manual change to f/8 for the light people, 2418 seconds (40 minutes) no photoshop only light. (at The Dungeon "PDX")

I want to thank @la_sniper @lightjunkies @soiboiwright @ck_nsb @avinaj_photography @gunnarloveland @jp217p @eirikmarthi for the help with getting some of my vids to a place that I can post to Instagram. Within minutes they all jumped in with advice. That is why I have been enjoying insta so much everyone has been awesome. And thanks @zachcarmanvideo for the suggestion of light painting videos since I haven't shared any of those creations yet. Still having a couple issues but for today you can click the link in my profile and see part of the video that goes with this light painting. This is from a light painting stop motion series "Bad Shroom" that I shot in 2013. @lurchwirkkala helped me out with the wool spins in the tunnel for the chase scene...that hoodie was Swiss cheese before this movie was finished lol. (at Stop motion scene)
A few of my light buddies at the dungeon last week βοΈπ½ I'll be light painting there all day tomorrow....anybody have any fun or random ideas that they would like to see done? I thought it would be a good time to play with...I'll go after the best idea I see hereππ Single 1452 second exposure (24 minutes) ISO 100, f/8. No photoshop...only light. (at The Dungeon "PDX")

"THE HIVE" A wildly random #lightpainting in the dungeon yesterday. I spend a lot of time dreaming up intricate light paintings so it's fun from time to time to just go ape shit lol. 7 orbs and some flailing with the sphere tool...didn't ever bother turning it on/off between. 'Twas wonderful βοΈπ½ Single exposure light painting, Nikon D7000, 8mm fisheye, bulb mode. f/5.6 for sphere tool the manual aperture change to f/8 for orb spins, ISO 100, 1128 seconds (18 min) no photoshop...only light. #bauerimagerylightpainting #lightjunkies #light_shots #rsa_light_ #night_shooterz #pdx #top_masters #lazyshutters #longexpo_masters #longexpoelite #nightphotography #tv_fisheye #tv_illuminate #transfervisions #tv_longexposure #longexpohunter #nophotoshop (at The Dungeon "PDX")
Lava Canyon at Mount St Helens. Stood there for over an hour waiting for a small break in the clouds to expose the milky way. It was well worth the wait πππ Nikon D7000, 8mm fisheye. f/3.5, ISO 6400, 30 second exposure. Flashlight for the foreground. (at Lava Canyon, Mt St Helens)
