Jimmy Eat World talked with Rolling Stone about the 25th anniversary of Bleed American. And then finally, what’s going on with your next album? We’re working on it. Always working on something. Do you think next year? I hope so. We’re not gonna put out anything that isn’t exactly right. And I feel like it’s slowly coming together, not there yet. But we’re definitely not gonna stop making music. It might seem that way, but we’re definitely not. --- Please consider becoming a member so we can keep bringing you stories like this one. ◎ https://chorus.fm/linked/jimmy-eat-world-reflect-on-25-years-of-bleed-american/

Good Charlotte have shared the new live track “We Are Done (Live from the Motel Du Cap Tour).” Multi-platinum rock superstars Good Charlotte celebrate their first North American tour since 2018 with the release of “We Are Done (Live from the Motel Du Cap Tour),” available everywhere today. Listen HERE and watch the official music video on YouTube HERE. Captured live in Sydney during the sold out Australian/New Zealand leg of their Motel Du Cap World Tour earlier this year, the original version of “We Are Done” appeared on The Madden Brothers’ 2014 album Greetings from California. A longtime fan favorite, the song has become a staple in the band’s set list despite the album itself not being available on streaming platforms. Good Charlotte teased, “We are going to enjoy re-releasing ‘Greetings from California.’ It’s been fun playing these songs again with GC, almost feels like a record we’d be dropping now- funny when stuff works out like that.” The song’s arrival heralds the band’s North American tour with Avenged Sevenfold which starts tomorrow at the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, MO. The cross-country trek includes stops in Chicago, Toronto, New York, Boston, Dallas, and more before its finale at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 30. The band resumes their Motel Du Cap World tour with legs in Europe and the UK this fall (See full itinerary below). Earlier this year, Good Charlotte headlined the main stage at Slam Dunk Festival, the UK’s biggest independent pop/punk, rock and alternative festival, marking their first live shows on the continent since 2019. For tickets and more information, please visit www.goodcharlotte.com/tour. The extensive touring supports Good Charlotte’s first new album in seven years, Motel Du Cap, which arrived last August. Met with widespread acclaim upon its release, Rolling Stonemarveled at "the unrelenting energy" of the record, while PAPER raved, "Good Charlotte has established that they're here to stay as one of the most influential career acts of the 21st century." The band brought songs from the album to life with a full slate of national television performances on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and Good Morning America. Lead single “Rejects” notably notched their highest ranking entry on the Top 10 Alt Radio Singles Chart at #7. Cartel will release Learning How to Cope on September 18th. Pre-orders are up. Alternative rock band Cartel has announced their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Learning How To Cope, set to be released September 18 via Field Day Records. Featuring previous singles “Oxy Moron” and “Give Or Take”, Learning How To Cope marks the band’s first full-length release since 2013’s Collider. Fans can pre-save Learning How To Cope here, with physical copies available for pre-order starting at 12pm ET here. Pugh shares: “This music saved me. It helped me reconnect with empathy, with community and with the idea that everybody belongs. That ethos – honesty, openness, and taking care of your people – is what this record is built on. It feels different, but it still feels like Cartel.” Along with the album announcement comes new singles “Deadbeat Drag” and “Shirts & Skins”, a musical Molotov cocktail the group previously unveiled in the wake of Minneapolis ICE murders. Stream the new tracks now here. “We're way past the point of being able to sit back and just provide the safe space that people can go and get away from everything,” Pugh says, referencing “Shirts & Skins“. “Society has been doing that long enough and not having difficult conversations – and that's just kind of over. If you're not going to say something now, when are you ever going to fucking say something?” Fans can look forward to hearing new music live as the band prepares for appearances at Vans Warped Tour Montreal, Soundtrack Of Your Summer Festival, Riot Fest, Four Chord Music Festival, and Furnace Fest. They’ll also be celebrating their new record Learning How To Cope with a release day performance in their hometown of Atlanta on this year’s Shaky Knees, followed by a special late night album release show at Masquerade. Later this year Cartel will be on the road as direct support for State Champs on their Around The World And Back Again Tour, kicking off November 5. For a full list of upcoming shows, please see below or visit: https://cartelrocks.com. Cartel didn’t come back just to look backward. After crisscrossing the globe for the 20th anniversary of their landmark album Chroma, the Conyers, GA-formed group – vocalist Will Pugh, guitarists Joseph Pepper and Nic Hudson, along with recent additions drummer Kyle Adams and bassist Kevin Mahoney – have used that momentum to light the fuse on their future on LEARNING HOW TO COPE (Field Day Records), their first album in 13 years. Written against a backdrop of both personal reckoning and global unrest, the album pairs the hook-driven songwriting the group has always been known for with sharper edges, heavier weight, and a renewed sense of purpose. The album’s 12 songs find Pugh taking aim at a wide range of targets – the ruling class, broken systems and personal betrayals, among them – in a way that’s equal parts confrontational and cathartic. Songs like first single “Oxy Moron” and “Deadbeat Drag” lean into the trio’s ’90s alt-rock influences, while the riff-heavy “Shirts & Skins” elevates a deep-rooted hardcore ethos and reject the idea that music should stay neutral when the world outside is anything but. It all combines to make Learning How To Cope the most important album of the band’s career on both a personal and artistic level. After playing to hundreds of thousands of fans at Warped Tour, Slam Dunk, and When We Were Young, it would have been easy for Cartel to choose comfort over disruption. Instead, they’ve done what they’ve always been best at: challenging themselves and their audience alike, armed with something important to say. --- Please consider becoming a member so we can keep bringing you stories like this one. ◎ https://chorus.fm/news/cartel-announce-new-album/

Today Tokyo Rose have returned with a new EP called Never Say Die. Lead vocalist Ryan Dominguez expands on the particular brand of nostalgia listeners can expect from the sonic aesthetic: “If Morpheus unplugged Neo from the Matrix and instead plugged him into my Walkman in 1999, it’d sound like our new EP. Equal parts MTV nostalgia, rhythmic futurism, and Jersey jug handle jurisprudence, Never Say Die is the result of old friends reconnecting over the white-hot embers of a fire that never went out.” --- Please consider becoming a member so we can keep bringing you stories like this one. ◎ https://chorus.fm/news/tokyo-rose-release-new-ep/
