Forever is years short of what it should be

We planned on millenniums

but the world Is ending in a chaotic mess

And so soon we are lost in the process

Of cleaning up humanity.

But I suppose we were promised

Long ago that our lives would be cropped short.

I still had hoped for something more,

Only yester-year has gone and the past is in the past.

Knee deep in mystery,

History has a tendency To repeat itself indefinitely.

Time is too short to wait on reason and rational thought

We dive right in and get caught in the tide that

Our own flaws provide

We drown in our self-image.

Life is like a scrimmage, a battle of self-confidence,

Ego boosts and other things we never counted on.
