In the last week of each month I will make a post where everyone can submit their entries for the next month's event. Submissions will close on the last day.
The event starts on the 2nd every month and I'll compile a masterlist with all the entries.

What can be submitted?
Any fanworks for Choices and Pixelberry can be submitted.
No AI generated works
It is possible to submit works by other creators, but only if their name can be found on this list.
There are two categories:
1. Fanfiction (poetry is included in this)
If you submit anything with an AO3 link, make sure there's still a tumblr post to link back to.
If you submit a multi-chapter work you can either mention a specific chapter, if not the reader can pick for themselves and e.g just catch up with the next chapter they had to read. It's never expected that participants read the whole fic for it to count.
2. Miscellaneous fanwork
Misc. fanwork includes about anything else you can think of: playlists, visual art, tumblr posts with information, headcanons, mc profiles, moodboards, basically anything that isn't a fanfic or poem.
How to submit posts for the event
You sign up by reblogging the submission post from this blog, it's not possible to sign up over dm's or through asks.
Each participant can submit one fanwork for each category.
You may submit work of your own or by people mentioned in this list, make sure to still tag them in your submission!
You aren't obligated to submit something for both categories, you can choose to only submit one work.
It's possible to submit the same works again for future events
You may submit works that contain nsfw or violence, but you have to warn for it.
Mention in your submission:
For fanfiction:
link to the post or (preferably) hyperlinked title
If it's a multichapter work, mention the chapter if you want people to read a specific chapter, otherwise it's up to the reader
Ao3 link if applicable (preferably hyperlinked)
word count (in case of a multichapter fic with no specific chapter linked, give an estimate of how long chapters generally tend to be)

What is expected from you when you join?
You tag every reblog with #choicesmonthlyreblogevent (this is so I can keep track)
If you join, you're expected to interact with 40% of the submissions most of the time. For months with a lot or very few participants I might alter the number of posts you have to interact with, I'll always mention the number on the masterlist, so make sure to check it, because it will be different each month!
Obviously you don't have to stop once you reach the mandatory number of posts you have to interact with! I very much encourage to keep going and interact with as much as possible.
You should reply and/or leave tags on posts you reblog, empty reblogs and one word replies don't count. I also in general just really encourage you to comment something that says something about the work, rather than 'I love this' and leaving it at that. You don't have to write long comments, just point out something you like, that stands out to you, anything you have questions about etc. I'll only be enforcing the purple part as a rule, but again, it's just appreciated by the creators to ellaborate a bit more.
You can comment on AO3 if applicable, but always reblog the related tumblr post too, because this is how I'll keep track of participation!
I will keep track of everyone's participation. If you haven't reblogged anything yet (or maybe 1 or 2 posts) by 14 days, I will contact you to check in and you get a chance to opt out and be taken off the masterlist in case you think you won't make it. Preferably you'd let me know yourself before that point if anything comes up, because if I have to ask you more than 2 times, I will give you a strike. You will also get a strike if you approach me yourself more than 2 times to ask if I can take you off the list.
If you'd like me to check in with you after a week instead, you can mention it in your submission or send me a dm on this blog.
Strikes and bans
If you're disrespectful towards me or any other participants, you're banned from the event and I won't let you back in.
If by the end of the month you've failed to interact with more than half of what you had to interact with (13 out of 20,for example), you'll get a strike. Three strikes would lead to being banned from the event.
If by the end of the month you interacted with less than half of what you had to interact with (6 out of 20 for example), you won't be able to participate anymore in the future.
If you've been banned from the event, you can get access again by participating for a month without submitting any works, by just reblogging people's posts. Contact me when you do this, so I can add you to the participant list.
In general these rules just exist so people won't just join without reblogging anything/much themselves. I definitely won't always be super strict and you can contact me if anything comes up. If you're very active at the beginning of the month but still fail to interact with enough entries, I won't contact you. If you had to interact with 15 works and you have interacted with 12 at the end of the month, I won't give you trouble. If things like this happen a lot, I'll contact you and give you a strike though.
I'll always contact you to let you know if I'm giving you a strike.
This is a monthly event that starts on the 2nd every month and ends on the lastday of the month. The purpose of this event is both getting more eyes on work we wish had gotten more attention, but most importantly also giving love to other creators in our little fandom.

It was Friday night and Donahue’s was packed. At the back of the bar, Michael Jackson blasted from the jukebox, telling everyone to beat it. Over by the pool tables, there were simultaneous loud cracks as balls split apart before rolling across the green surface.
The darts competition between surgical and medical residents was heating up, but Reggie the bartender wasn’t concerned. He’d seen a version of this rivalry play out over the years. It usually ended with the losing side buying the other a round of beer.
He wiped the inside of a glass, keeping one eye on the empty barstool reserved for one of his regulars. A threatening glare was enough to disabuse anyone who was even thinking of taking that seat.
Most nights, Ethan Ramsey could be found there, silently nursing a single Scotch and reflecting on whatever a physician of his renown reflected on. Although, ever since the man had gotten married this summer (something that still surprised Reggie), his visits had become less frequent.
But Reggie spied Ethan’s better half on the other side with her friends and knew he wouldn’t be far behind. Where Cassie Valentine was, Ethan was sure to follow.
And he was right. Ethan walked in ten minutes later, glanced briefly in his wife’s direction—a soft smile hovering on his lips—and then parked himself at the bar.
“Didn’t think you were coming tonight,” Reggie remarked, reaching under the bar for the top-shelf Scotch he kept for Ethan.
“Lost track of time,” Ethan said, rolling his shoulders and running one hand through his hair before sighing loudly. “It’s been a tedious day.”
Reggie made it a double and left him to his thoughts. Before he turned to his other customers, he caught Cassie’s eye and angled his head, nodding toward Ethan.
Her brows furrowed in confusion at first, and then she glanced at Ethan, saw his slumped shoulders, and nodded in acknowledgment.
A few minutes later, Cassie propped one elbow on the bar and leaned close.
“I have to say, you look really hot.”
“No, you don’t actually have to say that,” Ethan muttered, rolling his eyes as he sipped his whisky.
He could practically see her mentally reassess as he ignored the obvious pick-up line. Really, the woman had better ones in her repertoire. He should know, as he’d been on the receiving end of plenty.
She tried again.
“I heard that you can determine how well you fit together with another person by kissing them. Want to skip the small talk and see if we’re compatible?”
“No, thank you,” he said, not taking his eyes off the amber liquid.
It was perverse of him, but Ethan wanted to laugh at the shocked expression on her face when her second attempt failed.
He peeked at Cassie, grinning at how her green eyes narrowed in determination. She drummed her fingers on the bar top and then straightened.
Placing one hand on his jaw, she angled his face toward hers, her smile coquettish. “I think destiny wants us to be together, and you should never argue with destiny.”
“Uh-huh,” he said dismissively, secretly enjoying himself and feeling the stress he’d been carrying lighten.
It took supreme willpower not to kiss the pout forming on her lips. Ethan wondered if she was ready to call it quits, but her annoyed look told him her competitive spirit had been activated.
“You know, I believe that honesty is the best policy,” she drawled, making his heartbeat skip as she seductively traced one finger down his arm. “So to be perfectly honest, I want to spend many more days with you.”
“Sorry, I’m married,” he said, perfectly deadpan.
This time, he did laugh when she let out a short, frustrated scream and pinched his biceps.
“You try my patience, Ethan!”
Still laughing, he tugged her close, wrapping her in his arms. “In my defense, love, you’ve used better pick-up lines in the past.”
“Oh, please. That was gold-tier flirting, Ramsey,” she said, incensed.
“It must be hard with your sense of direction, never being able to find your way to a decent pick-up line,” he quipped, matching her earlier playfulness.
Cassie lifted one brow superciliously. “Were you expecting to have sex tonight? Because your chances are decreasing by the second.”
He grinned. “My wife is pretty forgiving.”
She rolled her eyes but didn’t argue the assertion.
They stayed that way for a few minutes, eyes locked on each other, the bar around them fading away. The longer the silence stretched between them, the more Ethan could feel his shoulders loosen and his mind clear.
“Feeling better?” Cassie asked, her voice whisper-soft so that only he could hear.
“Yeah.”
“Good,” she said, smiling as she stepped back. “I’m going back to my friends now and leaving you to enjoy your airlock.”
Before she could walk away, Ethan reached for her hand, stroking the back of it with his thumb.
“Cassie…” he began, struggling to find the right words to capture how she made him feel, how much she had changed his life. But nothing came to mind.
“I know.” She squeezed his hand. “Finish your drink and then let’s go home.”
Home. For the longest time, he wasn’t sure what that was. But now he knew. It was wherever she was.
