I hate tagging shows and books that start with a “The” in the title because I can never be sure if the tag most people use will have a “the.” You’re all a little bit too loosey fucking goosey on this. Everyone tags the “The” in The Owl House, I’ve never seen someone tag it as #owl house, that “The” is a load bearing part of the title, but I’ve never seen someone tag The Legend of Zelda as #the legend of zelda. The “The” in The Legend of Zelda is a vestigial organ we've evolved to survive without.
The alternative is tagging something as both The-ed and The-less, which is madness and makes my archivist teeth itch. I think we should just have a moratorium on starting titles with the word “The” until the UN can weigh in

Monde Kanyana, on the right, who is the “South African Horse Whisperer,” in the Mongol Derby. Although he finished 6th, he won the horsemanship award.
His skills with horses are extraordinary, and his reputation for being so talented precedes him Ger to Ger - herders pick increasingly difficult and spirited horses for him to ride for the next leg, and cheer when he hops on them and they stand perfectly still and calm. On a final leg, the herders went so far as to give him a horse that had never been ridden. He did successfully get her tacked and mounted without much trouble, but he ended up riding a different horse on that leg. His efforts to teach the mare did cost him his place at the top, but he did not seem to mind.
Monde Kanyana I believe works at Moolmanshoek these days; @trailpony has been lucky enough to learn from him. He used to work at Waterford Farm, and I’ve seen a video of him from then doing tricks with a quarter horse. You may need to search for him under Mondi Kanyana.
He also won the inaugural Race the Wild Coast ride in 2016; it was a five day race, 350 km, with each rider having a string of three horses. The route covers some of the most spectacular landscape in South Africa, from lush coastal forests to rocky cliffs above the sea to sandy beaches with dolphins surfing in the breakers, and, by the riders’ accounts, was physically demanding. One of the riders tells a story about Monde using a tree to cut another tree down, to create a new path, when the original route was blocked.
