Hey guys, so I am doing the i heart summer tag and I did change a few questions because it was more make up based and I don’t do a ton of make up over the summer. Hope you enjoy and I tag all of you guys , so that you can do it too. Enjoy your summers!!
My little sisters and I are obsessed with frozen fruits, and my favorite snack to cool down and energize is frozen blueberries in a bowl with a little bit of lime juice and drizzled honey. Consider it a healthy dip and dots.
2. You're relaxing in a hammock, on a tropical island. What are you sipping on?
Probably some sort of iced tea or lemonade. My absolute go to drink over the summer though, if i want to treat myself, is a cold green tea and ginseng Arizona. It is my absolute favorite drink, and I don’t find it overwhelmingly sweet, unlike other bottled green teas.
3. Favorite summer lip product?
I think summer is a fun time to try bright colors on your lips and experiment with different shades, but I don’t necessarily like wearing makeup, even just lipstick, because it is sooo friggin HOT, so I use a lot of balms. My two favorite lip products are Revlon’s colorstay ultimate suede in the color cruise collection #075. It makes my lips feel moisturized and the color is a coral like pigment. And cherry flavored carmex because it has an spf and my lips won’t die.
I spend about 80% of my time in pools over the summer because of training, but I prefer the beach.
5. Summer = crazy hair! What's your must-have styling product?
My hair is super damaged in the summer and looks really dry and dead because I’m in the pool a lot, so I love spraying OGX’s coconut oil spray. It doesn’t make my hair feel super greasy or anything, but a few spritzes help my tips heal and add a nice looking shine to it and keeps it manageable.
6. Sun bathing or fake tan?
Sunbathing of course! I am really fortunate because my skin tans really easily so I don’t really have to work for a tan, and I don’t burn as easily. I do have lighter skin, however, so I make sure to wear tons of sunscreen. The downside, is that during the summer I tan wayyyy too much, so I make sure to rub aloe vera on my skin afterward and try to avoid the sun, as much as I can. Also, if I had a choice, I would choose neither because I my over-tanning has made me hate tanning.
7. Favorite summer nail polish?
I don’t generally paint my nails because the water from the pool ruins them. I love Sally Hansen’s mint sorbet nail polish. It’s my favorite I love it.
8. Any summer traditions?
One of my best friends and I love baking brownies and taking them to the lifeguards at the pool. My sisters and I also like walk around our house in wet bathing suits on the hottest days of summer eating popsicles.
9. Favorite summer scent?
James by Rosie Jane if it’s something formal
Victoria’s Secret’s Pure Seduction for everyday use
Favorite candle scent is Watermelon Lemonade from Bath and body works because it smells like summer..I light it during the winter if I’m feeling nostalgic.
My mom makes Mulas, which are sort of like quesadillas, but she makes hand made tortillas and puts carne asada and cheese inside.It is my favorite creation of the gods and we add guacamole, salsa, and lime juice on the inside. It’s fantabulous.
11. What's your favorite summer-proof product?
I can not live without Ion Swimmer’s spray because it saves me from going bald literally every summer and St. Ives Pink lemon and Mandarin Scrub. I feel really fresh after using it, and it keeps my skin looking good. It also keeps my skin pretty even, which I need during the summer because again, I tan super easily.
12. Any summer vacation plans this year?
Yes! I am actually in Peru, as I write this. I’m on a cultural exchange and it has been super fun so far, although it’s winter here, and it makes me feel a bit sad. After this, I am heading to Mexico for a week to visit family and then I’m back home and I will probably get a summer job or find some sort of volunteer program.
