Hey hey, what’s wrong? You’re going to do great on this test!

I hope you’re right. I’m so nervous, I can’t stop shaking. 

Chloe frowned, looking up at Drew. “What if I fail? God, I’m so pessimist, but what if-?” 

Oh, definitely.  Guitar can be a pain in the ass if you’re not patient enough.  And it’s really just… not meant for everyone, and it never will be.  Not everyone can play it and that’s fine.

Oh, really? I thought everyone could learn how to play it. 

Evelyn’s concern only grew as the girl barked out a forced laugh. She knew how Chloe felt: she’d had her fair share of nervous breakdowns before tests. “I understand,” she said, quickly looking down at her watch. “Do you have any time before the test starts? We could go on a walk, help you de-stress a little.”

Chloe tried to control her breath, watching the girl getting worried about her. “I’m okay, really.” she said, her voice still weak. She looked down at her watch and nodded. “Yes, I have a couple minutes. I really need to clear my head.” 

Evelyn furrowed her brows. “Are you sure?” she asked, concern in her eyes. “Do you need any help studying, or a bite of food, or anything?”

Chloe nodded, trying to catch her breath. “Don’t worry, I’m nervous all the time.” she tried to laugh at Evelyn, but instead she just looked like a maniac. “I just need to pass this exam.” 

Evelyn raked her fingers through her hair as she walked out of her French Literature class, emerging onto the green grass outside the University. A familiar figure caught her eye- Chloe was pacing on the quad, her hands on her head. “Chloe,” Evelyn called, running up towards the girl. “Are you okay?”

Chloe looked back at Evelyn and gave her a weak smile. “Evelyn.” Her hand was on her chest, her voice uncontrolled. “I’m ok-okay. Just nervous about an exam.” 

“What ever you say Mary.” With a comfortable grin his hands found his pockets, “So you going some place or could you help a guy out?”

“It’s Chloe.” She stated, cocking an eyebrow at him. “Oh, you don’t know my name, but you ask for my help?” She sighed. “What do you want?” 

Liar. “Oh? See and here I thought you looked nervous, my mistake.” Shaking his head Tig’s hand went to his chest a theatrical look of shock spreading across his features, “You guess?”

Chloe rolled her eyes. “I wasn’t nervous, I just got scared.” she lick her lower lips, crossing her arms over the chest. “Hmm...yeah, I guess.” 

“Chloe,” he echoed sweetly, “Nice to meet you. So tell me Chloe, do I make you nervous?”

Chloe shook her head. “Nice to meet you too...I guess. And no, you don’t make me nervous.” she paused. “You just caught me by surprise.” 

“Apparently according to them I am. But I don’t really…it’s weird still.” Elisa laughed. “She’s really fantastic.”

“See? They obviously love you.” she chuckled. “Maybe I should talk to her sometime. I’ll tell her that I know her hot cousin.” 

“Well thanks Chlo.” She grinned. “Scarlett Rivera. I can’t remember what year though”

“I bet you’re one of the hot teachers.” she joked. “Hmm...I think I’ve seen her around.” 

Xander sighed softly into Chloe’s mouth, his fingers lightly dancing across her slender ribcage. She was so small, so delicate, compared to Xander’s frame. Still, she was strong- stronger than him, he knew that for sure. There was steel in her bones, hidden underneath her rosy skin. She was a fighter. “And I’m yours, Chloe.” He kissed her like she was an apparition, afraid that she would disappear at any moment. Hearing his name fall from her lips grounded him, steadied him. “I’m not going to leave,” he whispered against her skin, for his benefit as well as hers. “I’m not going to leave you.” People had been leaving Xander for his whole life- his dad, his friends, his teachers. He wanted Chloe to know that he was going to stay, for as long as she would take him.

Chloe loved to feel the touch of Xander’s fingers on her skin, the feeling of his warm skin made her shiver. The way he touched her was so special, he was careful and cautions, like she was made of porcelain. He made her feel like she was the only girl in the whole world. She gently grabbed his chin, bringing his face up and looking directly into his blue eyes. “I’m not leaving either, I promise.” she whispered, a smile playing on her lips. She placed a kiss on his lips, her body on fire. She wanted more and more, she needed more than a kiss, more than the touch of his skin. “God, I want you so badly.” she moaned against him silky lips. “I don’t want to go too fast.” she stopped for a second, trying to catch her breath. “But I need you.” 

“Well, I suppose there is a certain temperament for teaching.” Elisa nodded, “Oh wow–that’s really incredible. My cousin studies medicine there too.”

“I’m sure you’re doing a great job.” Chloe smiled. “Oh really? Who’s your cousin?”
