Day by Day.One Step at A Time.

I can’t get it out of my head. The days. The months. The Years. It seems that there was much more happening around that time that I took for granted. Or more so, not cherished enough. The availability of the woman of whom I’ve grown to love, the tight bond among friends who barely keep contact with each other now, the chance to keep family close gone. Everything now is a mere shell of what it was back then. Yet I still see it clearly. I feel as if the more things progress, for better or worse, In still waiting for yesterday to replay itself in the way it used to be. What I’m trying to do is take my losses throughout my time here so far and created steps toward a victory deeming all of those steps worthy of meaning something. So much runs through my heart, or what’s left of it. I know that nothing will ever be the same, and the past events have shifted the present to a darker, sad atmosphere, it’s the light of the past that keeps my feet on the ground. Even if my head is in the clouds. I still keep my fingers crossed that this process will leave me at peace. Not in pieces.

Sometimes, I see glimpses of the (assumed) future. Other times I’m seeing memories of the definite past. I often ask myself the question why to both. I wonder why my mind time travels , but in all honesty it doesn’t bother me that much. So much nostalgia. For the road ahead, I have high hopes based on the road built all the way up until now. I’m not exactly sure how life will be from this point in but, as long as I can go back and forth through the known and unknown, I’m good.

We’ve officially entered a new day which means my birthday has officially come to an end.
