i've been a fan of chili pepper since oct. 2021, when i first discovered cookie run! back then there were other characters who i liked more than her (parfait, blackberry, and pumpkin pie were the top three before chili pepper), and she quickly became my #1 fav a few months later around jan. 2022!! i absolutely love chili pepper's design, her costumes (tiger bandit is my #1 fav), and her personality ^__^ she very quickly became a comfort character of mine during a very low point in my life in 2022, and during this time i would often turn to drawing her or imagining scenarios in my head with her [usually with rye too] as a way to distract myself and make myself feel better. I also used to project a lot of my own traits and issues onto her and put those into HCs/depict them in old art, but like most of that has faded and i don't really do that anymore LMAO... i hope all of that explains why i like her so much and wanted to dedicate a blog to her. Also not important but i'd just like to add that I have like two sketchbooks from 2022 FULL of chili pepper and chilirye drawings
No, i do not self/yumeship with Chili Pepper and do not wish to be referred to as a yumeshipper or selfshipper. I do really love her, but not in that way. Chili Pepper has been a comfort character of mine for years. i love seeing content of her and seeing other people who love her as well! sorry if this seems unnecessary to add i just felt like i had to add it.
Stuff unrelated to Chili Pepper, i'm super into j-fashion, particularly lolita fashion and I'm working up to being able to dress in the fashion soon ^__^ I'm [very slowly] working on sewing my first JSK and have already made a few headdresses. i gravitate most towards classic, shiro, sweet, and gothic substyles. chocolita and bittersweet lolita are my fav sub-substyles of sweet! i'm so so so in love with lolita fashion. I also adore gyaru as a whole! my fav gyaru substyles are agejo, hime, and rokku.
Besides EGL and gyaru, a few other j-fashions and subcultures i really like are jirai kei, vkei, decora kei... while i still like these, I know much less about these than lolita and gyaru.
I'm also starting to get into oshikatsu! i havent made much at all for it yet solely because of a lack of motivation, though... school is sucking the life out of me rn!! I'll muster up motivation eventually ...
I also lovvee seals! ribbon seals and ringed seals are my two favorites!

other things i like SEALS!, cats, caterpillars, horses, breyer horses, lps figures, sanrio characters, frilly things, lace, colorful things, spicy foods, fruit, Chili Pepper Cookie. i also enjoy watching choreographies and paraparas and i enjoy AFK-ing on ponytown for at least 9 hours daily
I may eventually put a strawpage link to replace this section... i already have a few strawpages and rentries but i feel obligated to make separate strawpages/rentries for every social account i have. no reason! i just feel like i need a different one for EVERY account i use!!

i got frustrated trying to draw the pose from my reference 1:1 and started to change the pose as i got further and further. the right arm especially gave me trouble! i didn't know what to do with it. i pretty much gave up when i started drawing her shorts. trying to draw the legs was the hardest part actually! i cropped them out but they look atrocious and i dont feel up to fixing them

Also! i will not be rendering this as i originally planned! not after the trouble the pose gave me! never trust me when i say i plan to render one of my sketches or finish one of my wips as i am starting to notice a pattern that i tend to lose motivation on rendering or cleaning up my sketches after i mention how i plan to do either of those things
Can i also mention that this started off as perspective practice 😭 the reference was a selfie photo from pinterest and i was so confident in drawing this pose because the perspective it was in appeared super easy to draw and i thought from the bust up that my sketch was REALLY good and pretty on-point but then afterwards i stopped looking at the reference (trying to rely on memory and on the guidelines i had made) and i began to change the pose up, then i had a hard time trying to put it all into the same perspective and eventually gave up entirely. i redrew different poses for the right arm maybe 4 or 5 times before i gave up on that too and drew something simple
Did you guys know that one or both of the arms are usually something i draw last... occasionally i'll draw one at the start, draw everything else, then return for the other arm or i'll forgo drawing both arms entirely and only leaving the stick guidelines until i'm finished with everything else
unfinished! i still need to draw her other arm and redraw some of the streaks in her hair. I might render this when i'm done... I also *might* try drawing her hat this time!

i need to freshen the layers on most of my hair up since the only thing i consistently trim are my bangs. the layers on the rest of my hair have kind of grown out

i personally really like both i just have a preference for chilirye... i also like chiliblossom if you guys care i think its really cute and the idea of chili and cherry blossom bonding over a picnic seems reallyreally cute to me

ok i havent been active on tumblr much at all since school and exams ended... i just have been feeling worn out from other personal things that i've had to do after all of that! i've also been dissatisfied with my [human] drawings recently, so i havent been drawing them much... I started this drawing maybe a week ago at this point and was slowly adding to it until i had doubts on if this even looked good, which I stopped working on it because of that 😭 doomed to be a wip in my ocean of 20+ kleki tabs that i will pick back up a month later or decide that i hate it and delete it
