Label name: Vibe Johansson

Year label started: First collection was AW08

What do you make and what inspires it? I design a bi-annual collection of womans clothing, expressing my aesthetic vision of simplicity, shapes and drapings. I work with the idea that garments should be useful and I do not have a specific inspirations that I can pinpoint. I work from my intuition and by experimenting with the fabrics and patterns - My process is quite technical.

Describe your personal style: Black and minimalistic.

What song always gets you on the dance floor? I don’t dance, sorry. I listen to a lot of music, and there are certain artists that always inspire me in my work. Amanda Palmer, Anathema and Chopin to name a few. I have a very wide taste in music. It has to be meaningful though.

What do you know about Wellington, New Zealand? Beautiful landscape. Lots of green and (part) home of Lord of the Rings? To be honest I don't know that much about it, but I would love to visit at some point and experience it first hand.

Wellington is known as the 'Windy City' what is Copenhagen known as? Copenhagen is known for its 'hygge' which basically means coziness. Us Danes take that very seriously, we love to spend our free time with friends in the numerous cafés and bars.- Maybe a reaction to the long and grey winter...

Wellington takes it's coffee and food VERY seriously, what's a Danish delicacy that they take VERY seriously? On the savory side: smørrebrød (open faced sandwiches) and for the sweet tooth: kanel snegl (cinnamon rolls). And you will not walk 100m without passing at least one hot dog stand...

What do you make and what inspires it? Random things. Things around me. It can be pretty much anything.

Describe your personal style: I wear only Daniel Palillo. So I wear the things I like the best. 

Most exciting fashion moment: Still searching for it. 

What song always gets you on the dance floor? Part time punks. Television Personalities.

What do you know about Wellington? It's Wellington beef right?

Wellington takes it's coffee and food VERY seriously, where's your favourite place to get both in Helsinki? Lately I have been going to Good Life Coffee and Sandro. Both in Kallio, Helsinki. 

What's a local Finnish delicacy? Karjalanpiirakka.

What do you make and what inspires it? Men’s and womenswear. Odd women with a great, strong personality.

The ultimate Peter Jensen lady is…? Hailee Steinfeld, Saoirse Ronan and Nina Persson.

Describe your personal style: Navy and like a school uniform.

Most exciting fashion moment: Being at the met ball in NYC.

What song always gets you on the dance floor? The boss by Diana Ross 12”.

What do you know about Wellington? Not that much, but I would love to go. It looks great. Is the weather hot?

Name of designer: Zhao Wu

Label name: VOIDTHEBRAND. The name means that "brand name" itself should be voided as it’s the least important factor when it comes to fashion/clothing, compared to other elements such as material, volume, silhouette, craftsmanship, and etc. VOIDTHEBRAND is our attitude of menswear and lifestyle.

Year label started: 2011

What do you make and what inspires it? We make casual menswear that is both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable enough for everyday wear. We are inspired by the details in every aspect of life, and we implement those details in our designs.

The ultimate VOIDTHEBRAND lady/gent is…? Is someone who wears the clothes, and not the other way around.

Describe your personal style: Monotone casual. T-shirt, pants, sneakers, and occasional hoodie. That’s why we love Cali. 

Most exciting fashion moment: Every time we shoot our new collection is an experience both challenging and exciting.

What song always gets you on the dance floor? For me booze gets the job done faster.

Shoot, Shag and Marry?  Shoot Miley Cyrus, Shag Jennifer Lawrence, and Marry Natalie Portman.

What do you know about New Zealand? Lord of the Rings, and the nice people at Children of Vision.
