4. Zipper time! By now you should have a structure good enough to adjust the boot around the ballerina (once you wear it). Make sure that the boot still covers everything and is comfy. If the whole thing is too large, simply cut the sides not sewed little by little. Once everything suits you perfectly (and it's normal to see a small amount of folds on the front, it's not a professional boot making technique), you can simply place the zipper on the back of the pieces! aka, the ticker blue line on the drawing.The zipper goes all the way up to the complete bottom of the pieces! (However, try to keep at least a cm at the bottom, you'll need a tiny fold for the next step)5. Final step! It's time to merge the boot covers and the ballerinas! To do so, you'll only need to pull the resulting boot over the ballerinas. Make sure it's well anchored and fold the extra artificial leather towards the inside of the boots (if you have more than 2 cm, I suggest cutting the excess). At last, you can hot glue everything together. Be careful and apply glue on the folded parts of the leather, it should hold everything well in place (surprisingly).And voilà! Beautiful boots for Latula (or any character with similar boots)

Step 1 :- Weird screw thingy- AluminiumTake the magic screw and surround it with aluminium. The entire white section should be covered by it, so it cannot move around when you’ll attach the horn to your wig.Then, add some aluminium on the sides of the base. It’ll create the skeleton of your horn and should look like a tadpole.To make sure that the skeleton is long enough, you can carefully give it the shape you want it to have and adjust it; it’s better to do so now than later on.

Step 2:- Mr. tadpole- Model MagicNow that you have your skeleton completed, it’s time to add skin! Take a generous quantity of model magic and surround your entire horn with it. Make sure to cover all the aluminium, but not the baby screw (the metal one), or else you won’t be able to move attach the horn to your wig.(I used plasticine to show you, because my model magic is kept for another project)

Step 3:- Mr. Tadpole- RopeIt is time to make Mr. Tadpole original! Take the rope and turn it around him from the largest part to the smallest. Be careful not to apply too much pressure on the model magic, ‘cause it might shift around if you do so and you’ll have to start step 2 over.Once Mr. Tadpole is completely decorated, you can carefully bend him in a spiral-like/ram-like shape of your choice. Don’t forget that the screw will be facing your wig, so you must curve the future horn in the right direction!

Step 4:Let it dry, let it dryCheck now and then to make sure the model magic is not cracking. If it is, carefully pull off the rope and put some mod podge on the horn.

Step 5:Take off the rope (carefully!) and paint your horn the way you want! I personally prefer a progressive change from red/orange-ish to yellow, but feel free to paint those the way you want!

And you now have horns!

What am I supposed to do with the under-chair-weird-plastic piece that you asked me to get?  That’s the magic part of this crafting technique! When you’ll place your horn on your wig, you’ll just have to use the plastic piece to keep the screw from passing through the hair lines!Like thiiis:

It was quite an impressive ride, two hours spent in a car driven by Merida was something no one wished to live more than once, unless she was the only one with a license, like in the current situation. During the whole trip, Rapunzel and Hiccup had kept on sending glances to each other, messaging the other that they hoped they would reach their destination alive. Between the sharp turns and the breaking of speeds limits, the duo hang on tight to anything they could, wishing that they would soon reach the house they ranted.

By 10PM, their wish was granted, Merida stopped the car and cut the contact, stretching. ‘’Her’ we ar’ lads!’’ she said with a wide grin, before stepping out of the van. Rapunzel, who was sitting on the first row turned around to glance at Hiccup, who was still hushing Toothless; the poor dog was almost shaking from fright. ‘’Well.. that went better than expected,’’ tried to cheer the blonde with an unsure smile. ‘’But on the way back, I’m definitively taking Flynn’s lift!’’ With that, the girl hopped of the car and went to the back, to get her bags.

Still sitting at his place, Hiccup sent another comforting smile to Toothless, ‘’Hey bud, it’s over now, everything will be fine. Jack will drive us—‘’ the boy paused, his expression darkening. Although Jack was supposed to give them a ride back when the location would be over, the brunette didn’t have a chance to confirm with him yet. Actually, he simply didn’t have a single occasion to talk to the boy during the last week, because, apparently, Jack kept on running away from him.

Hiccup sighed and opened his door, stepping out of the car just after Tootless, who had simply jumped out at the first occasion. A cold breeze greeted the young adult as he placed his first step on the snow. For some reason, there was always snow in the mountains, by the time Christmas was there; snow that Jack enjoyed so much, he would actually wake up on the 25th, every year, and run around barefoot. Of course it was silly and dangerous for his health, but the boy never really seemed to mind.

Shaking his head of the ‘Jack’ subject, Hiccup took his bag and headed to the front door of the house, where Merida waited for him. ‘’Com’ on lad, Jack sa’d ‘e would be her’ by tomorro’ night. Don’t ya worry ov’r ‘is absence!’’  The brunette nodded, a smile reappearing on his lips, before walking inside the house.

Toothless following him everywhere around, Hiccup took his bag to the bedroom he always chose, on the second floor, then helped the girls with the grocery shopping. Before long, the bell rang 11, and everything was settled for the night. The trio sat down at the kitchen table and took out a board game, as well as some treats they had brought for the occasion, and started playing. Since none of them was tired, the game went on until 1AM, when they decided that it was more than time to go rest, they had a big day coming up.

Due to the late hour they had fled off to bed, the trio woke up around 11. Well.. Rapunzel woke up, before rushing to the two other bedrooms where her friends were sound asleep. ‘’Wake up! It’s already 11 and we have done nothing to prepare tonight’s feast!’’ Of course, Merida offered many growls, before finally getting out of bed, while Hiccup woke in a fright and simply walked downstairs to the kitchen.

About 2 minutes later, Rapunzel entered the kitchen with a huge box of Christmas decoration that she paused on the table.

‘’Alright troops!’’ she said teasingly, while still being somewhat serious, ‘’Christmas Eve celebration will begin in less than 9 hours and nothing is done yet! Thanks to the kind people that left us this house, we already have a tree! But the decorations are still absent on it, so Merida, you will be in charge of transforming this ‘tree’ in a ‘Christmas tree!’ ‘’ That said, Rapunzel handed the decoration box to Merida. The girl rolled eyes and answered with a simple ‘aye’ before leaving the room. ‘’Hiccup!’’ restarted the blonde, ‘’although I would really need help with the preparation of the food for tonight, I have another job for you.’’ Her serious expression turned into an apologetic smile, ‘’I’d need wood for the fireplace, from the shed outside, and the owners forgot to turn the hot water on, before leaving.. could you--?’’ ‘’Heavy wood, great!’’ said the boy sarcastically, ‘’Yeah yeah, I’ll take care of that. The food better be good!’’

Rapunzel smiled softly as her friend walked to the staircase, maybe tasks would help him go through the day faster. ‘’Now off to my cuisine!’’ she chuckled, putting an apron on.

When Hiccup finished opening the hot water and preparing the fire, the sun was already starting to set. It wasn’t because 8 was already close, but mostly because the sun was always setting early around Christmas. It was more or less 4PM. The boy walked to the kitchen, where Toothless was sleeping near a plate of warm cookies, freshly taken out of the oven. Seeing no one around, the brunette walked toward the food and reached out to take a delicious reward for his work when another hand stopped. ‘’Oh no ye won’t!’’ said a voice with a heavy Scottish accent. Hiccup bitted his lips and turned around to face the girl who, surprisingly, gave him a smile, ‘’Ye won’t tak’ any cooki’ unless ye let me one!’’ The boy chuckled and nodded, ‘’Alright you win, you fierce Scottish lady, a cookie for my princess,’’ he teased while give her her prize and taking one to himself. ‘’Don’t ye dar’ call meh a princess ye Viking!’’

It took no less than that for the duo to burst out in laughs. Ever since they had learnt about each other’s ancestors, they had played this game of teasing with no end. But soon their laughs, and snorts (for Merida), were interrupted by a voice. ‘’I see how it is. Let’s leave the princess up in her tower, while we eat all the delicious cookies she took hours to prepare, and act later on as if nothing happened.’’ Rapunzel walked toward the duo, taking a frying pan along the way, ‘’To quote you Hiccup, ‘There will be consequences!’ ‘’

Merida and Hiccup bitted their lower lips and gave each other a look, before running off. ‘’Hey!’’ screamed the blonde, before running after them.

Eventually, the two Nordic lost to the blonde girl, who forced them into the kitchen. The rest of the afternoon was spent in this single room, with Rapunzel baking, Hiccup giving the different meal a good look and Merida… cleaning the dishes and preparing the table! Luckily, the organization worked perfectly, and by the time the doorbell rang, the group had finalized the last plate.

‘’Here they are!’’ without adding anything else, Rapunzel rushed to the front door and opened it to Flynn. ‘’Good evening!’’ she cheered before turning her smile into a pout, ‘’you were almost late!’’ The boy smirked and patted the girl’s head, ‘’But we’re not, so where is my food?’’ he teased.

Back in the kitchen, Merida was observing Hiccup with a concerned look. Ever since the doorbell had echoed all around, the boy’s expression had gloomed. ‘’Ar’ ye worried abou’ meetin’ Jack?’’ she asked nicely. The brunette nodded before leaving to the main door himself. The time he had taken to think had been long enough to allow Flynn and Rapunzel to walk to the living room.

Seeing the rest of Flynn’s luggage on the ground, Hiccup sighed, ‘’Aw come Flynn! You could at least take your stuff in your room before proceeding to the food!’’ The brunette was about to move the bags out of the way, when he heard the door reopen behind him. Jolting around, Hiccup found himself face to face with Jack. Both found their smiles fade in a blink of an eye.

‘’Hm.. hi.’’ tried Jack, after long seconds of silence. ‘’Hey,’’ replied Hiccup in a whisper. Seeing that the conversation would lead nowhere, Merida walked in. ‘’Glad te see ye join the party as lat’ as usual Frost,’’ she started, ‘’Let’s hop’ tha’ sir Winter will be ‘appy wit’ ‘is meal!’’ Jack took off his winter coat and grin, handing it to the Scottish girl, ‘’I will take the same room as usual. No need to bring me food upstairs, I will eat with the lower society for once, you should be glad,’’ he chuckled and took his bag upstairs. ‘’Back in a minute!’’

Merida rolled eyes and left the coat on the ground before walking to the table, Hiccup and Toothless following her.

Soon the group finished eating and headed to the living room, where the Christmas tree and the gifts were waiting for them. One at a time, the friends all opened their different presents under the laughs and cheers of the others. Only one of the gift was opened by everyone at the same time; Punzie’s. Like most of the years, she had prepared a similar object to everyone, and she always liked to see everyone’s reaction at the same time.

This year, it was a hoodie, taking different shapes and colors depending on the person. While Merida’s looked like a bear, because of some old stories she liked to tell about them, Jack’s was similar to his daily one, only with frost here and there. Flynn had an ironical horse representation of ‘Maximus’ the animal that haunted his nightmares; Rapunzel had made a camelon for herself, and finally a black dragon for Hiccup.

Jack handed his gift to the brunette with a smirk, ‘’I guess Punzie and I both see the dragon rider in you!’’ The evening had gone on really well, enough for the two boys to forget their current awkward relationship. With a frown, the ‘Viking’ upackd the gift to discover a manual of all the different types of dragons. Touched by the attention, he blushed softly, ‘’How did you know--?’’

Jack chuckled and patted the other’s hair, ‘’It’s a secret to no one that you love dragons Hic, not to mention that you wanted this book so badly that you kept on looking at it every time we went to the mall.’’ Hiccup’s eyes widened in realization, ‘’But Jack, this book is super expensive!’’

The blue eyed boy nodded and gave the other an apologetic smile, ‘’Which is why I had to find a job and work during the last week, as much as I could actually.. You’re not the only one I had to make a gift to.’’

Hiccup grew quiet, trying to let the information sink in.  Meanwhile, the three others left the room, feeling the atmosphere change. Jack gave the group a small frown, before turning back to the ‘Viking’ boy. Was he really missing a piece of the puzzle?

‘’Are you mad at me?’’ he finally asked. Hiccup shook his head slowly.

Jack frowned, ‘’Are you upset then?’’ Hiccup shook his head once more.

Jack’s heartbeat increased. He couldn’t understand Hiccup’s reaction and it was triggering his fear of having done anything wrong. The taller boy was about to add something, when the freckled brunette jumped in his arms, pulling him in a tight hug. Surprised, Jack’s first reflex was to push of the boy and see his current expression to understand if he was angry or something, but he stopped himself when a whisper made it to his ear; ‘’Why would I be mad at the person who found a work just to buy me a gift? Especially the book that I have been wishing for for three years.’’

‘’Thank you Jack,’’ he finally added, ‘’it’s the best gift I could have asked for.’’

Softened at the comments, the boy pulled Hiccup in a tighter hug.

Jack frowned, as he started feeling a presence next to them. Pulling back, he noticed a giggling Merida holding a mistletoe right above them. ‘’W-what are you doing!?’’ Hiccup looked up in surprise, turning a deep shade of red as he noticed the ‘kissing plant’. ‘’Com’ on, don’t tell meh non’ of ya see the evidences!’’ Once more, Jack frowned before finally understanding, ‘’When I tell something to Punzie, she’s not supposed to tell you!’’

Jack noticed a soft grip on his shirt and a head resting on his chest. He looked down to notice Hiccup. ‘’No need fo’ that, ye two ar’ way too evident.’’ With a smirk, the girl walked away, leaving the two guys by themselves.

Finally understanding, Jack reached down for the boy and raised his chin, discovering a completely flushed face. ‘’H-hey Hic,’’ he smiled softly, ‘’Does she mean that you lik- .. me?’’ The brunette took a few seconds of silence before reaching up and kissing the other’s cheek with a nod.

‘’I’ve liked you for quite a while actually…’’ he admitted. Jack chuckled and kissed the other boy softly, ‘’Same here.’’

When the Christmas Eve reached it’s end, Merida, Rapunzel and Flynn walked back to the living room. Although they had thought that Hiccup and Jack would eventually join them in the kitchen, they didn’t, they instead had fallen asleep next to each other.

‘’Abo’t time!’’ smiled Merida.
