Animal Rights v. Animal Welfare
Animal rights are distinguishable from animal welfare. In general, the term "animal rights" is the belief that humans do not have a right to use animals for our own purposes. "Animal welfare" is the belief that humans do have a right to use animals as long as the animals are treated humanely. The animal rights position on factory farming would be that we do not have a right to slaughter animals for food no matter how well the animals are treated while they are alive, while the animal welfare position might want to see certain cruel practices eliminated.
"Animal welfare" describes a broad spectrum of views, while animal rights are more absolute. For example, some animal welfare advocates might want a ban on fur, while others might believe that fur is morally acceptable if the animals are killed "humanely" and do not suffer for too long in a trap. "Animal welfare" may also be used describe the speciesist view that certain animals (e.g. dogs, cats, horses) are more deserving of protection than others (e.g. fish, chickens, cows).

Bloodied animals, abused without a chance to fight back, these are quite a prevalent problem in the society, not only in the Philippines, but in the whole world. People treat animals without a care, some use them for their living, some use them as illegal resources, and some even kill them for their own benefit. But these people, they forget that these animals, have life too, they help the planet and balance the ecosystem. They guard our resources and serve as our companions, if our own race are not there for us. They fight with us, not against us, so why would we, people, humans, with proper thinking, act inhumane with them?

ANIMAL RESCUE FORCE
In his book Animal Liberation, Peter Singer states that the basic principle of equality does not require equal or identical treatment; it requires equal consideration. This is an important distinction when talking about animal rights. People often ask if animals should have rights, and quite simply, the answer is “Yes!” Animals surely deserve to live their lives free from suffering and exploitation.

The process of creating a thermal vacuum out of coconut husks, with its fibers bind by wood glue.
The Insulating Capacity of Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Husks and its Effectivity as an Alternative Material in Making a Thermal Vacuum and Sunshade
Philippines, being in the Pacific ring of fire have experienced numerous typhoons, and with this comes a great number of fatalities and wreckage. Natural disasters usually contribute to the livelihood of Filipinos, and one of the major factors which causes it is Climate change. Climate change have brought high levels of heat which urged the development of heat retardation thus devices like thermal insulating boards to be developed. However, conventional materials like Polypropylene plastics is expensive and quite not accessible to the Philippines. In this research, it will discuss Coconut husks, an agricultural by-product, as a possible thermal insulating material. Further it will test the numerous properties which makes the material (coconut husks) as an ideal alternative to most conventional materials especially because coconut husks, is a renewable source and is an abundant resource in the country.

~ Isang higop ng ala-ala ~
Sinigang, ulam na babalikbalikan ng panlasang Pinoy!
Isang lasa na magbabalik tanaw sa nakagawian.
Paano nga ba lutuin ang pagkaing ito? Ating tuklasin...
Mga sangkap na kailangan:
500 grams pork, sinigang cut
tubig, para sa pagpapakulo
1 medium na kamatis
1 maliit na sibuyas
1 tasa ng gabi
3 to 4 kutsara ng sinigang na gabi mix
1 piraso ng green chili (siling tagalog)
1 to 2 kutsara ng fish sauce (patis)
