I wonder if the stuff that comes back out of the shadows is made of stuff previously eaten by them. I mean, not that powers in general follow conservation of mass or energy, but that seems like it’d sort-of work, thematically or something.

I think my favorite visual from that is the cars tipping into their own shadows and just... disappearing Bye-bye, car.

A couple of the pictures from higher-up show the oilslick-like spread through the shadows of the buildings - the main incident started at 6:30pm local time. Once the contiguous areas of darkness get large enough, I think, the limbs, tentacles and larger things start extending from them. Like, if Night Terror could just manifest the tram-sized centipede thing whenever, they’d have been far more dangerous. And that’s saying a lot.

So is that stuff spreading across the buildings in the video... shadow? It looks like oil or something, and then there’s all the tentacles and limbs sticking out of it. EDIT: Ohhh - the limbs were casting shadows and that’s how the darkness was spreading into lit areas, resisting the torches the... military police(?) have?
