☼ Scarlett--or Scar, as most people call her--grew up in a single-parent home with three older siblings. Shortly after Scarlett's tenth birthday, her mother passed away suddenly, leaving her dad to take care of three boys and a young daughter. Because of this upbringing, the young woman always finds it in her best interest to act like her brothers to appease them. She hid most of her development when she was growing up, going to such extremes as duct-taping her breasts down to make her chest look flatter. She was picked on a lot as a kid, and that made her far more humble and modest than most kids her age. She appreciated everything she got in life, and worked her hardest to earn things herself so as not to put even more of a strain on her dad. However, the bullying soon started to wear on her, and she slipped into a sort of depression. Refusing to go to school, Scarlett got a job at the age of sixteen and began lying to her father, telling him that she was getting perfect grades, and having one of her brothers answer the phone whenever the school called. All of this didn't last long, though, as her father soon caught on and sent her back.

After finishing out high school, Scarlett had developed a coping mechanism. Whenever someone was rude or attempting to be intellectually superior to her, she would always use a high amount of sarcasm and sass in order to deflect their remarks. She didn't do it in a particularly nasty way, but it soon became a habit. Although she was very nice to whoever she happened to meet, she would always find herself being a little too overactive and bouncy, her sarcasm popping up at the worst times possible. She was the first of the Lorde children to move out of her father's house, but she finds herself going over for frequent visits, as he had become rather sick. No matter how worried she got, Scarlett always put on a happy face for people, not wanting them to ever know how broken and scared she truly was and is.

♥ Known as 'Sassy Scar', this young lady has the tendency to outwit anyone she has a conversation with. A self-proclaimed music buff, Scarlett prefers to keep her nose buried in a crate of old records, always finding triumph in gathering multiple copies of the same album and proudly displaying them on the walls of her apartment. When she's not doing this, the friendly young woman can be found playing her guitar and singing in the park, always with a grin on her face as people pass her by and toss money into her case. She's always been considered rather friendly, but she oftentimes finds it hard to make friend with people, as she doesn't trust anyone easily.

☼ Originally from Seattle, Peter grew up dreaming about bigger and better things for himself. His parents--both published authors--weren't around as often as he would've liked, so the boy had to busy himself the best he could. Much like his namesake, Peter Pan, he liked to cause mischief wherever he went, and even had bragging rights to getting kicked out of certain stores in Seattle. However, Peter wasn't getting the attention he craved, and that frustrated him to no end. His love for music seemed to catch the attention of a young Gemma Cooper, and the two would often put on concerts for her parents and brother in her living room, causing laughter and applause. It seemed to be a match made in heaven, and the two became close friends over the years. The dynamic duo seemed to be the perfect match, but something stopped both from pursuing a romantic relationship. While Peter feared commitment to people, Gemma feared commitment to Seattle, and she left while Peter was still in college.

Slightly heartbroken to find this out, Peter quit school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. Starting out on street corners with an open guitar case, Peter didn't find much luck making money. But, he seemed to get lucky one day, as a younger Carter Thatch happened into his life. All-too-enthusiastic about meeting the street performer, Carter rushed to form a band, dragging Peter along the way. It wasn't that he minded, though. The young man actually loved being in a band with Carter, and his happiness grew with every year of success that the band got. But then, Peter met a young woman named Taylor, and his life seemed to take a turn for the worse. While staying happy during tour and band things, Peter was unhappy at home due to his girlfriend's constant nagging. He refused to leave her, though, as he loved her and didn't want to break her heart. Unfortunately for the big-hearted guitar player, his girlfriend didn't feel the same, and he caught her cheating after arriving home from tour. This happened at around the same time that Carter picked up and left for Cheyenne, and Peter and their other band member Michael were left to their own devices. After about two months of waiting around, Peter chose to take things into his own hands and follow Carter to Rhode Island, hoping to make everything in his life better.

♥ Peter is a fun-loving guy and a child at heart. As a kid, he took being named after Peter Pan far too seriously, and he never seemed to drop the attitude. While he's able to be mature when the situation calls for it, he much prefers to make people smile and bring them joy in the oddest of ways. He loves being able to perform in front of large crowds, and he loves when fans recognize him and want to take pictures or get autographs. Most people see Peter as snobby, but that's not the case at all; he's actually quite shy and sometimes doesn't know what to say at certain times. Once he gets to know you, it's impossible to get him to shut up, and that's what he likes most about himself. He hopes that his move to Cheyenne will bring more opportunities, as well as mend his broken heart.

☼ Cassandra, or Cassie, was born in England, but didn't stay there for long. She was the product of an affair her mother had while on vacation as a young woman, newly graduated from law school. Her mother was never one to settle down, letting the wind take her wherever she went. When she found out she was pregnant, however, she decided that being a mother was more important than wandering free. The single mother settled down with her baby in Maryland, where Cassie grew up with few close friends to call her own. She was a loner, never really getting close to anyone.

After seventeen years, Cassie's mother changed her mind about life, taking her daughter on the biggest adventure of her life; Trying to find her father. She always romanticized their life together, churning Cassie's mind with thoughts about how incredible her father would be. Tracking him down turned out to be relatively easy, and the two ladies traveled to Cheyenne in order to re-connect with the man who gave Cassie life. They settled down in a small house, and Cassie now has to create a whole new life for herself, making new friends and trying to fit in. Her mother travels to Providence for her job as a lawyer

♥ Cassie has gotten used to the way she and her mother have lived. She smiles and can have a lot of fun, but there is a part of her that wishes for something more. She's responsible and wise, like her mom, but sometimes her rebellious nature gets the better of her. She will sit on her roof for hours on end, just standing at the edge and looking down at the ground. Cassie is suspicious that her father isn't all that her mother makes him out to be, but she is holding out a hope that she will find a father figure in him. She can be quite stubborn, but is a very good friend and a bright young woman.

♫ “If you ask me how I’m doing, I would say I’m doing just fine, I would lie and say that you’re not on my mind.”

☼ The Jacobs family is known simply for breeding the best of the best. Doctors, that is, a job in anything else would be unheard of, and Arthur had never felt like causing trouble and upsetting his parents, as in the end, he liked being able to help people. So, he followed the path laid out by his parents, which his older brother had already taken, but it was clear his younger sister would refuse it. A non-confrontational boy, Arthur tried his best to silently encourage his sister to leave the family, though he knew she wasn’t entirely fond of him, and wasn’t surprised when she finally did run off. Though his thoughts would return to her occasionally, he was easily able to lose himself in work. The one thing that pulled him out? Esme Scott, a barista at the coffee shop he’d visit on his way to and from the hospital. Frankly, he wasn’t too fond of the drinks, but getting to speak with the girl for a bit made it worth it. Eventually, he’d ask her out after months of swinging by, and soon enough, they’d find themselves in a steady relationship, one that led to an engagement, no matter how ridiculous his parents found it. While they told him he was rushing into it, he couldn’t care less. After all, if his baby sister was able to defy them, he shouldn’t have a problem with it.

Months passed, and anticipation for their wedding grew, and everything seemed to be going according to plan, until what was expected to be another, unnoticeable, California earthquake turned out to be a bit more. Affecting their home, right outside of San Diego, this disaster caused not only problems at work, but in his personal life, as it left his fiance without any memories, an amnesiac who wasn’t shy to telling Arthur that she wanted to use her condition as a fresh start, as she didn’t know if she could still be engaged to him without really knowing him. Heartbroken, and wondering if his sister’s plan of running away was really as useful as she had made it sound during a visit, made to make sure her family was alright. With little hesitation, he bit the bullet, and packed up, for a trip to visit Charlavail for an undetermined amount of time.

♥ Arthur’s a simple person, really. He needs nothing more than a roof over his head, and supper on his table to be happy. While granted, he likes having people around, and grew rather accustomed to having Esme around, he’s managing to adapt well to life in Cheyenne, as he’s still getting to help people, and here he’s got a chance to live differently, without his parents trying to boss him around. Trying to keep optimistic, he’s usually more fond of talking to students trying to hide from classes in his office than his own peers. It’s easier for him, because he’s fairly confident he won’t get connected the same way he was to Esme.

☼ Gareth fell into his role as the oldest sibling as soon as his younger brother was born. He always knew he had to be an example, had to help his parents out as much as he could- and this only advanced with age. He often finds himself acting extremely parental towards his siblings when he sees it fit, but otherwise he keeps the relationship average. Xavier and Gareth wrestle with who is the most perfect sibling constantly. Whenever Xavier is acting like the pristine example of his family values, Gareth will step right up. Ultimately, they family has done such a fine job in crafting all their children that there is no ultimate sibling, but Gareth finds himself wishing. As the oldest, Gareth has always wanted to live up fully and exceed the expectations that were put on him, but he did such a good job of being an example that he no longer has to act as one. 

This leaves him feeling like he could've done something better, which is exactly what led him to move out of the house. He went to college and because an architect. Still living in Cheyenne,though not with the Wilcutt's, he works in the town and the surrounding areas along with still sculpting pieces for Charitable Expression. Gareth decided he would no longer worry himself totally with his family, but this led him to need to overcompensate with something else. Having a fiancee, he's turned his life into a complete devotion to building his own family, and is finding himself more and more obsessed with work. Only time will tell if he'll be able to separate himself enough from his old family to start his own. 

♥ Gareth is beyond overprotective. He wants to be able to take care of everyone he loves all the time, and this leads to him often feeling defeated, though you'll never catch his stress showing. After years of striving for complete and utter perfection, the gentleman has become grand at managing stress- and he knows it. This often leads to him biting of more than  he knows he can chew, just to test his limits and grow his tolerance. He lives up impeccably to the strong Wilcutt family values. All in all, however, he is always one to have a laugh and spread cheer, and doesn't often believe in bothering others with his problems.

♫ "He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes, started making his way past two in the morning. He hasn't been sober for days. Leaning now into the breeze, remembering Sunday he falls to his knees. They had breakfast together, but two eggs don't last, like the feeling of what he needs."

☼ Growing up in Washington State, Sylas already knows what it's like to be surrounded by foliage and fresh air. However, he only ever got to experience those things when his parents would pack up the stuff and camp just outside of Seattle for a few days. He always welcomed the openness of the camping grounds, and he even prided himself on being able to build a fire in under three minutes without any mistakes. However, Sylas' joy in this activity was always cut short with his constant worry about his younger sister. As the years went on, he noticed a shift in Gemma's behavior. She would still grin and giggle when something tickled her fancy, but he could sense that she no longer wanted to be around the family. Her adventurous ways were being oppressed by staying in one place, and her older brother feared the worst. When Gemma finally packed up and left, Sylas seemed to close in on himself. He had been living in a college dorm at the time, and was only given her goodbye note. Taking the news a bit too hard, the male immediately quit school and moved out to the mountains, choosing rather to live in seclusion than with other people. He didn't have many friends to begin with, and he welcomed the idea of not having to worry about anyone but himself. But, what he didn't expect was the worry of having a drinking problem. 

After a few years of being the resident 'Mountain Man', Sylas' curiosity got the better of him and he took a trip back home. While he was happy to see his parents, a part of him wished that his little sister was still around. So, in sheer determination and stubbornness, Sylas took to the road in his car, blindly searching for her. Clueless as to her whereabouts, the young man stopped at various places along the way, and even stayed in certain areas for up to a few months. In his mind, he was in no rush, and the journey excited him. It wasn't until he hit New England that something in Sylas changed. Sitting in a local diner one day, he heard two teenage girls talking about taking a trip to Cheyenne, as there was a boutique there that they were dying to check out. Not suspecting anything of it, the man went back to reading his paper. That is, until he heard Gemma's name, and his interest was piqued immediately. Finally seeing an end to his quest, Sylas once again packed up and moved, taking the short drive to Rhode Island in hopes of reconnecting with Gemma.

♥ Since he lived a secluded life for nearly four years, Sylas prefers to keep to himself. While he looks less like a lumberjack these days, he hardly dresses to impress anyone, and really doesn't care what they think. His rough exterior only matches certain aspects of his personality, as he's kind to those who are kind to him. But, what most people don't realize, is that the man is on his way to drinking himself to death. Night after night, he drowns his thoughts in bottles of cheap beer and liquor, but he'll hardly mention it to anyone. He suspects that he's still upset about his sister's sudden departure, and hopes that the feeling will go away once he finally gets to see her again. Since he keeps this aspect of his life so private, his problem is only getting worse, but he refuses to seek any sort of professional help, as he is determined to quit on his own.
