I still cannot believe we got basically canon cherik and then ultimately traumatised Charles.

This episode's consequences will be huge. Charles is most likely feeling useless and weak, because he couldn't really do much during the battle and Erik got hurt and then killed protecting him.

In the first place, they were in the situation because Erik was trying to change the past in a way that would achieve Charles' dream of coexistence and harmony. Charles will never forgive himself that Erik died due to trying to make his dream reality.

And then, on top of it all, he tried to convince Apocalypse to kill him, just for Apocalypse to tell him he's an "ant" ("weak and small") and let him live with the trauma.

I am so ready for Charles to honor Erik with actions. The tears already happened. Now it's time for the action.

Dark times are coming.

And so is Onslaught.

It's actually kinda insane but with the way Apocalypse managed to break Charles in the recent episode, he could be very well molded into the perfect horseman.

They will not do it, most likely, even though horseman of Apocalypse Charles would be amazing.

But it's a really nice thought.

Also it's really interesting to me that when Charles reaches to Erik, the animation shows that it's only possible because a tip of Erik's helmet is broken. If it wasn't for that, Charles would've not felt Erik's mind one last time and I think that would break him the most

That would definitely break him, because he'd feel like he left Erik alone or that he wasn't with him enough. Erik would maybe prefer that Charles didn't feel anything, but that's a whole other story. Erik knows Charles can't handle this, especially feeling him die. Erik wasn't scared of dying, he was just sorry. For not going back, for not listening to Charles, for dying like this, in front of him.

The episode is so tragic yet so perfect.

hey do u think that, after hours spent laying over magnus's helmet in the baking egyptian sun, charles got heatstroke? and maybe it even made him delirious, so when he's barely conscious and bishop finds him and takes him back to the present, he's still sobbing and occasionally muttering magnus's name.

I think he was definitely in a horrible condition. He was sobbing for HOURS to the point I believe he might've gotten himself dehydrated. Then he was laying in the sun and eventually he was still there during the night, which can get very very cold... He was also still in shock, so i think he might have even collapsed after Bishop brought him back.

Magneto's going to be a horseman the same way Remy is (I know I'm delusional, I'm just trying to cope)

It's a very popular theory! Plus I feel like they were hinting to it a tiny bit with some stuff, but I might just be looking too much into things again... I would like him to come back but at the same time this would be maybe too soon? I am not sure.
