Apocalypse literally even choked him at the beginning of the end and then he just gets thrown around so many times. The gash on his head had to be so painful on his own not to mention the way his head had to hurt after Apocalypse countered his telepathy, which literally threw him onto the floor again. Also the amount of strenght that he had to use to keep holding onto Magnus' cape? Insane. He had to genuinely be so exhausted. Like ultimately. In pain, tired, exhausted. And then Magnus... I wouldn't be surprised if he passed out after Bishop brought him back to the present.

They will not do it, most likely, even though horseman of Apocalypse Charles would be amazing.

But it's a really nice thought.

I was actually thinking about this while rewatching the episode... The fact he didn't even BLINK is concerning. He really made sure to burn every single second into his brain.

This episode's consequences will be huge. Charles is most likely feeling useless and weak, because he couldn't really do much during the battle and Erik got hurt and then killed protecting him.

In the first place, they were in the situation because Erik was trying to change the past in a way that would achieve Charles' dream of coexistence and harmony. Charles will never forgive himself that Erik died due to trying to make his dream reality.

And then, on top of it all, he tried to convince Apocalypse to kill him, just for Apocalypse to tell him he's an "ant" ("weak and small") and let him live with the trauma.

I am so ready for Charles to honor Erik with actions. The tears already happened. Now it's time for the action.

Dark times are coming.

That would definitely break him, because he'd feel like he left Erik alone or that he wasn't with him enough. Erik would maybe prefer that Charles didn't feel anything, but that's a whole other story. Erik knows Charles can't handle this, especially feeling him die. Erik wasn't scared of dying, he was just sorry. For not going back, for not listening to Charles, for dying like this, in front of him.

The episode is so tragic yet so perfect.

I think he was definitely in a horrible condition. He was sobbing for HOURS to the point I believe he might've gotten himself dehydrated. Then he was laying in the sun and eventually he was still there during the night, which can get very very cold... He was also still in shock, so i think he might have even collapsed after Bishop brought him back.
