Exactly a month ago I was at work feeling heavy and terrible. Once I was able to go home, I went straight to urgent care, while I was there I was asked to get a chest xray since my blood pressure was really high and once the result came back the doctor in charge told my parents to drive me to ER. The doctor found out that I have an Enlarged ❤. Once I was at the ER, I was seen right away, blood samples were taken for test and they prepped me for my IV and EKG are taken. I was hooked into a heart monitor and was given a medication that will flush out my excess fluids. (Came in to the hospital with 248 lbs from retaining water) every 5 minutes I had to go to the bathroom and I know I have a long night ahead and I was just told that I am being admitted and being taken to the ICU for more test and having a nurse carefully watch me. To feel so helpless and worried of what's ahead is something I don't want to feel anymore or my family and friends feel anymore. Today is only my 2nd month being 30 and I've learned what could happen in just a matter of weeks. At 30 I didn't think I'll be admitted in a hospital, through ER and ICU for congestive heart failure. At 30 I didn't think I have to take meds for my heart. I did learn that at 30 life will throw you for a ride to make yourself better. I also learned that I am surrounded by amazing people that loves and care for me and I am grateful for that. At 30 I can use this journey to make myself better physically and mentally. Thank you for my family and friends. Especially mom @marivitemporal and dad, my bro and sis @mariatemporarily and @johnnypastramisandwich for always looking out for me and visiting me at the time I was in the hospital. Huge thanks for understanding and loving me to @hippyscarfunk. And to all the friends that checked in when I was and still am recovering.
