Secondly: Yes there is a punishment, but you’ll have to wait and see.

But remember: Cuphead has no idea bendy has the blot.

Also Cuphead worded it VERY specifically. He specifically said “any harm that COMES YOUR WAY.” Doesn’t count if the danger is already there within bendy.

Anything that they can’t physically stop is out of the deal’s jurisdiction.

So uh I'm making my own comic series that's similar to MOTM but with my own storyline. Problem is, I'm pretty unoriginal- is it okay if I use some terms from MOTM, such as the Searchers, the whole Blot's curse thing, etc? I'll credit you if needed!

It's ok if no, just finish a new part of MOTM and I'll call it even :)

We stole those terms too!

"Searchers" are from the actual Bendy and the Ink machine games! they are used to name the inky guys who attack you in the game.

"The Blot's Curse" is just us adding "The Curse" to the actual Blot from Epic Mickey

I am fine with the celestial war and creation of the ink machine being 1000’s of years ago, but I’m so confused with the Doom and Mad wars.

The first ask was answered before the second one

You say that the Doom war happened for a while, but it was also 20 years ago. Was it when it started, or when it ended? And then I don’t know where to place the Mad war. I’m fine with waiting for the actual plot of the Mad war, but I want to know the actual time line since it was way shorter than the Doom war. Was it maybe a year or less? Was it a few years after the Doom war?

And this is what confuses me with the ages. For the defense crew, they were around 15-17 during the Mad war and Tails was I think 8 you or Fly said in an answered ask. Now in the present tails is 21 and the crew is probably 28-30. The main crew are also in their late 20’s.

I think I’m diving too deep and making it complicated for myself. I also may just be dumb and not catch on. I just need a proper timeline. Sorry this was kind of a lot, it’s just that this whole thing has been bugging me for a while now.

WHAT YOU KNOW:

1000's of years ago, THE BLOT, a being of pure darkness was released from the island of ink. Celestial Toons fought a war to drive it back, but it left a curse.

The Celestial Wizard "YenSid" (LOOK HIM UO HE'S A REAL CHARACTER) Created The Ink Machine using his magic and vanished.

ToonTown/Toon Society is born

The Golden Age of Re-Animation (and Peace)" (hehe get it?) begins and finally ENDS on 1900

(SIDE NOTE: Celestials take apart the machine at a time and reason we haven't revealed yet)

1910: DOOM WAR HAPPENS! That lasts 7 years. which, idk about you but 7 years is a while. maybe not to toons but for the first war in like 1000's of years? yeah thats a while.

Doom war ends and we get like 3 years of recovery before ANOTHER WAR HAPPENS

1920: THE MAD WAR! (yes i know we made the years multiples of 5 to make it easier on ourselves sue us.)

But thanks to sonic and crew who were like 17 at the time, the Mad wars only lasted 2 years. HOORAY! DEPT OF DEFENSE OFFICIALLY ESTABLISHED!!!!

AND THATS ALL IM TELLING YOU!!! THAT ISNT EVEN PRESENT DAY WHICH IS LIKE 1930

THAT'S WHY I REALLYREALLYYY get Bendys desire to live, he'd do anything to get back what he lost. I'm not trying to babify him or anything like that! I just really understand that desperate feeling of wanting everything to be good the way it used to be. I love the "controversy" among him, how divided some people's opinions are regarding him. Everyone isn't perfect, and that obviously shows with the main cast. I can see in Bendys, morality offers no painless option. When someone acts from desperation, they aren’t operating from their highest self. They’re operating from survival mode. That doesn’t automatically excuse harm, it just explains it. I really love the intensity of Bendys character. It seems like such a blast to write him!!

I don’t know if you meant to, but the way you wrote him really captures that feeling of Chronic illness, how it doesn't just affect the body, It rearranges morality and identity. I think that's done so spectacularly!!

So many times I see people who have these disabilities be used to infantilize them in so many ways. Thats exactly what I didn't want happening with bendy, thats exactly what bendy doesn't want to happen.

Bendy is almost 30. He's got enough life experience under his belt to be fully aware of his actions no matter the consequences.

I'm so so glad his writing is visible to you and I wish you nothing but the best. I hope we can do bendy some justice in our story :]

the controversy surrounding him is very interesting! I don't want to stop anyone from theorizing- I just felt the need ti step in when people started blaming others for his actions. That does bendy a disservice does it not? Why isn't he responsible for his own actions? Why cant he make a bad decision?

Was it understandable? Totally!

Was it a good decision? Dyle is gone.

The Blot is an explanation

Something something "MY INK ON YOUR BROTHERS HANDS." -Bendy. Cuphead, who he's talking too, is too busy rage-baiting. But Mugman makes a weird face, and repeats it-

"his.. ink?" Not a statement. A question. He looks... offput, by the notion. I'd almost describe his second expression as "unsettled." Maybe even Queasy!

Later on, during the balcony scene between Bugs and Mickey, Bugs mentions something about Mickey "Working himself thin on Ink," while he grins to himself, like it's something more than what he's saying on the surface level.

Then again Bugs is a weapons-grade freak so it might just be him. But your (nortsauce) panels all have a lot of attention to detail- everything feels very, very deliberate and foreshadowing in these interactions, so while he's always manic... he's blocked out during this scene. A grinning face, whispering to him from LITERALLY the back (behind) of his mind. As if this REALLY DOES have more meaning than "don't overwork yourself."

My first thought was blood. Like- liquid ink, what makes up a cartoon? Ink! But everyone bleeds RED. Cuphead (obviously), Felix’s Love tap form Mickey, when Boris got Milly-rocked by Mugman, Bendy when he got shot on the leg, etc. So that didn’t work. Then I got curious.

And- after noticing this, I went through the comic, and outside of INK Machine and INKwell, I'm... struggling to find any other mentions of Ink. Ichor is mentioned, sure, but not Ink. (My thoughts on Ichor are an entirely separate ramble) The ONLY two character this is seemingly brought up with, are Bendy and Mickey.

All this irrelevant rambling is to pretty much to ascertain- the Blot is a terminal illness that melts someone's flesh? And Ink makes UP that muscle? The idea that someone's body literally liquefied and stained your gloves would explain how Mugman reacted for sure, and it would be exactly the kind of freako vocabulary Bugs would use. ALSO it would foreshadow Mickey having the Blot in an EXTREMELY cool way.

this is the worst way to ask for world building info. I should've just asked "does ink mean toon meat". I'm sorry.

Cuphead x Batim doodles! mostly bendystraw!

First and most likely only time I’ll post here, but I adore this comic way too much to not share some of my art :)

This one's a little complicated because, as i've said before, I am neurodivergent so its hard to write a character that is neurotypical yk?

Each of the characters are less labeled in my head and more "Different reactions/responses to trauma and dilemmas"

Bendy is a person who's not only in the minority, being a demon-toon, but he's also suffering from a deadly curse that causes him physical and visceral suffering. Despite everything, he WANTS to live. It's not fair that he's got all this talent and skill in entertainment and he's had his chances taken from him time and time again. Its almost like the whole world is out to get him, and in a way he's right.

He's not going to act passively or sit down and take the hits crying. He's learned that the only way to get what he wants, or feels he deserves, is to get up and take it for himself. Thats what we learned from bendy's flashback to the plush toys. The world never gave a darn about him, why should he give the same in return?

Each character has a different outlook on life and how their trauma has affected them in every aspect. They aren't going to act how you'd expect, they are going to say and do things you don't like. Its just how trauma works.

I'm not going to disprove any sort of headcanons you have for the characters, especially if you wish to project onto them! I have my own headcanons in mind but i don't want people going "ERM NORT SAID THIS SO YOU CAN'T DO THAT" When its harmless.

And here I'll leave the fanarts for other AU... I really love them, I'm sorry...😭 (This tomato Bendy is so delicious! PLYHMZHUTZLZHZH)
