“I know you’re not, but being in a relationship is not supposed to be simple but  easy and for me it’s easy to be with you,” Ella said, for some reason it bothered her the direction the conversation had taken

‘’That’s good to hear, I don’t regret anything if that’s what you’re asking, forget I said anything.’’ Charlie said flashing a soft smile at her, he didn’t want to upset her, but couldn’t help but state the facts.

“I never thought your heart was made of stone, so please don’t say that again” she said softly, she was telling the truth. “Although I haven’t been in a relationship before, but I can tell you that you are the best boyfriend”

‘’Not saying you did, just others. But fine, I promise.’’ He sighed but smiled at her anyway. Acting like it and other people’s idea of you did that to a person. ‘’Ella, it’s been what? A few weeks? I’m not perfect boyfriend material, and you know it.’’

She couldn’t help but smile at that moment, she didn’t think Charlie looked for her by the sound of her heartbeat. “I didn’t knew you do that… You know?, you always find a way to make me feel better, no matter how bad things look”

Charlie smiled back, although his reasons weren’t entirely selfless. He nailed the sweet romantic talk and couldn’t be prouder. ‘’Now you know, I’m not made of stone you know, I can be a sap when I want to be, it’s nice to know my heart does more than keep me alive.’’ He joked sweetly, ‘’I want you to feel good, not bad, of course I find a way.’’ 

“You just got yourself a deal” said Ella smiling before she continue, a little embarrassed “ I do it very often, it’s… relaxing. It’s probably easier for you with the werewolf ear” she was hoping that what she just said didn’t scared Charlie away. “I really hope that… I don’t want to stay like this forever”

‘’A deal it is,’’ He repeated for the fun of it, smirking at Ella. Charlie’s eyes softened when she said that. ‘’Knock yourself out Ella, it’s okay if you do. Do you know I look you up by just relying on that sound?’’ He reassured her, admitting it shamelessly. ‘’You won’t, we won’t, just give it time.’’

Ophelia lowered the sword, giggling softly. “What’s wrong?”

He gave her a blank stare. Seriously? ‘’It’s morning. Mornings need coffee, I was actually getting some before you tried to poke me with that thing.’’

And no… But, are you positive a cold shower works? Oh, god, what if it happens during sparring? Or if- oh, no. They need to find a solution to this now.

“Well, then if you can’t accept it, we’ll have to try it soon,” Ella said jokingly. “I like being smaller than you, so that way when I hug you I can hear your heart beating” she confessed. “I’m not okay with this, but I think I have to accept it until they find a way to fix it”

-hits him on the arm- Yeah, well, it’s true, and this morning was like waking up in a nightmare because it wouldn’t go away.

“ Don’t deny it I kicked your ass and you know it” Ella looked at Charlie as he stand up, she couldn’t help but smile. “Hum, who would say it, you are actually shorter, now you can understand how I feel when I’m by your side”
