i’d have flunked out a long time ago if i wasn’t majoring in something i found intellectually stimulating.

people don’t realize how important the humanities are. it’s strange how many people talk shit about art majors, yet maintain love and admiration for popular artists. a world entirely composed of engineers and scientists would be boring as fuck, but i’m sure we’d make quick work out of murdering each other, so we wouldn’t have to worry living in it for too long. it’d be this weird dystopia wherein every citizen is guaranteed to have their nudes leaked, and all popular media is complete trash. in fact, we might already be living in that world.

plus, a grip of CEOs at fortune 500 companies are english majors, so i think everyone is overselling the complexity of our world. it’s mostly contingent on the class you were born into, but if you get one of these degrees, you can get your foot in the door at many places, and if you’re trying to get rich, your end result is the product of how many people you can jerk off and then eventually betray. 

my advice is this: if you want or need guaranteed money (at least for the foreseeable future), do computer shit. if that kind-of stuff isn’t fun to you, don’t do it. it’s probably not the end of the world to not graduate into a 60k+ salary. i’ve always understood myself as someone who makes their own lane, so i will probably do very little with my degree. 

i like it because it's deceptively difficult. i'm not a dude who talks much, so to get online and try and be funny for 3+ hours is a challenge. i think i'm gradually getting better at it.

i think people misjudge it and think you just gotta sit in front of a camera and play league of legends like a fuckboi, but to be a GOOD streamer you gotta go in. you gotta jibber jabber and throw out memes like you have nothing to lose.
