What is this?
A pinned post for the characterdevelopmentasks project.
This blog acts as the main hub for the project, which basically works to send out random asks to the roleplayers scattered about this community, helping them feel a little less lonely one question at a time. As per the title, most of the questions are geared towards character development, but some can be about general preferences or to just give a mun a platform to speak.
How does it work?
Essentially, I keep a list of users and a list of questions, and then whenever I have time, I use a Ruby program to randomly pick a user and a question and (manually) send that user that question. There’s a bit more going on under the hood, such as how multimuses are handled, properly sourcing questions, and checking how active a user is, but that’s the gist of it.

Why do some asks ask me to tag you?
