As soon as I realized that you can just... buy NES cartridges and put whatever you want on them, I think this was a foregone conclusion. The 'vibe' is like... partially how NES games had wildly over-rendered cover art, partially how the only thing I remember about Everquest is the blonde chick with her warlocks out, and partially those porny Evony ads.

Sometimes you just want the little guys to be happy.

I've always wanted to get more into isometric and orthographic art, and never really had the time to sit down and just… do it? So I've been chipping away at this for a few months and I think I'm happy with it now! ^^

Next weekend, June 7-8 2025, I'm going to be in Toronto for TCAF! It's taking place at Mattamy Athletic Centre, and as always it's free to enter and browse hundreds of independent comics creators like me.

It's the convention debut of my graphic novel Motherlover, as well as new things I've made in the... gosh, seven years since the last time I was there!

A man visits a newspaper vendor everyday, but he buys nothing. Everyday he comes and reads all the front pages and then leaves. Finally, one day the vendor says to the man, "Why don't you ever buy a newspaper?"

And the man says, "I'm only interested in reading the obituaries."

So the vendor says, "Sir, the obituaries aren't on the front page."

And the man replies, "The one I'm looking for will be."

🌸 I'd rather be waking up on Spring 1 🌸

I'm pretty stoked about this one! I always wanted to learn to paint like this. And I've been playing a lot of cozy games, and finding comfort in the familiar pattern of the seasons and the joy of waking up on the first day of spring, ready for your year to begin again.

The city wasn't all bad, I suppose. There were some good times, between the death cults and the mindflayer invasions and the brain parasites.

Took me a while to dip my toes into the ocean of BG3 fandom, but I'm here now.
