BTS rejecting a category that was supposedly made for them is honestly the most elegant “fuck you” imaginable. They didn’t spend years breaking barriers, changing the industry, and proving their global impact just to be placed in a separate little box. The message is clear: they don’t want a shortcut, a consolation prize, or a category created to make people feel like they’re being included. They want the same respect, the same recognition, and the same opportunities as everyone else. Scammys really need to understand that representation isn’t about creating a smaller table for artists to sit at. It’s about opening the fucking door.
