I'd only watched the first half of the movie yesterday and I was so hyped, now I'm so disappointed. They brought up so many issues and barely resolved any of them. So we're just not going to talk about Nick getting dreams of Charlie dying, and the sort of trauma he carries with that? We're just not going to address the fact that he doesn't know who he is outside being Charlie's bf? (yes ik that was the point of the scene with the dogs but his whole self discovery was ONE scene long). Hell, he needs Charlie's help to come up with an essay about who he is. There was so much potential and they fucked it up istg

I'm re-watching Heartstopper after 2 years or so, and honestly, what's with all the therapy speak loll. I know it's because the writer had a message to convey about queer relationships and issues, but from the perspective of the characters it's just soo unrealistic. I'm finally understanding why I never related to it even tho I was bi and exactly their age when I watched it for the first time (amongst other reasons)

They're teenagers! Let them just be more messy, let them fight things out and say things they don't mean!! Let them be stupid or unreasonable!! Let them not have the perfect words while talking things out!! But no, everyone's just saying the exact right things and hugging each other all the time lol

I think Tao and Darcy are the only ones who even come slightly close to this. And Nick to some degree in season 1. I think the emotional vulnerability aspect has been done well, but seriously, let them be imperfect in a way that doesn't automatically make them sympathetic too.

Side note: another reason i never related to it was because everyone's wayy too obsessed with their relationships lol (yes ik the series is called Heartstopper). Lyk they just stop having lives outside their relationships smh. It just got annoying after some point. As someone who only graduated school recently, i can assure u that most teenagers have their own hobbies and interests or even other things to talk about for that matter, it's only 5% of them who act like that. I remember preferring a spin off on Elle's life in art school over whatever was going on there lol (kudos to her fr, girl has the most aesthetic wardrobe, a lovely bf, and a life and ambitions of her own!)

Given the new heartstopper movie, I can safely say that I FUCKING CALLED IT. I've only finished half of it, but I'm really glad they're addressing all the issues I had with this series

What Bucky did while operating as the Winter Soldier is not Bucky’s fault. He was TORTURED. BRAINWASHED. MANIPULATED. MIND CONTROLLED. He had NO CONTROL over his own actions for 70 years.

If ANYONE owes Tony’s family anything - it’s Hydra.

And to be quite honest, I don’t feel sorry for Howard Stark in the slightest. First of all he was primarily responsible for operation paperclip, which recruited Dr. Arnim Zola (you know… one of the first ones to experiment on Bucky?!?) to SHIELD. He was the one who decided to trust the wrong people, he was the one who brought Maria.

So no. Bucky doesn’t owe anyone SHIT. He already spent enough time “making amends” for shit that wasn’t even his fault.

Bucky deserves to live in peace. He deserves to retire. He deserves love.
