In life you have good times and bad times, it’s what you do that ultimately leads to one of those paths. Yes, I’ll admit I had an amazing summer met people who I thought I would be in my life forever. I experienced things for the first time fell in love, and created a special bond with a group of friends.
But life goes on from a summer.
You never get to live or redo that summer. You learn to become mature and find your feet in the world, by being thrown in the deep end. I gave up a dream, to set foot into reality. And I’ve worked my ass off to get to where I am today, for me, personally I’m so grateful for putting my mind towards things and giving everything to getting to where I want to be. But it’s times like these the people you shared an amazing summer with, turn their backs on you. I don’t ask for much. I give 100% to you, yet I’m the one that always gets left behind, yeah they turn around and tell you they have your back and are there for you, but they don’t, they just keep walking ever so loudly yelling they’re still with you till you hear silence.
They say you fall in love easily the first time, but damn I fell hard, I had so many sleepless nights talking to the boy I loved, creating so many memories, even though I counted them as blessing I knew wouldn’t mean much to him. Falling in love the first time, is like having your heart stabbed you never know which knife will kill you, until that last knife which turns you completely numb, and shows you a colder view on the world. Yes, I know some of those knifes were inflicted upon by myself, but you never realise how much you’ve fallen for that person until it’s too late. It’s crazy to think, that starting off with so many amazing memories and supportive people around you could perish within 365 days to turn to you standing alone trying to figure out which step to take along a massive journey ahead, even though it’s just me, I’ll happily figure out life alone.
