      he’s a bit embarrassed by the fact that he’d been watching       her from afar for so long not wanting to make assumptions.       some people came out to drink simply because they wanted       to & not to pick up someone — that wasn’t his plan tonight.       ( he still isn’t. ) his studio was starting to smother him, too       much time spent around the heat of his forge. all he wanted       was to get out & maybe meet some new people or catch       up with acquaintances.

         he noticed the man as soon as he sat down in the          stool next to him dressed way to rich to be in a bar          as basic as this one but he wasn’t going to judge.          he looks like he’s had a rough day so jules sends          a smile his way instead.

        for once, he’s not bringing food. this might         actually be better than food.

        he knocks on noah’s door, a small, ornate,         travelling cage hanging from one hand with         two little fancy parakeets inside.

         he tilts his head as his eyes fall upon the stranger          in the odd clothing who appears to be looking up          at the buildings in some confusion. it is new york          but even this is a bit much. is there a convention          happening? not that he would know anything          about that kind of thing.
