The Wandering Oasis & Waters of Wagyl

While the desert of Wagyl is completely bare of surface water, it has many subterranean lakes where monsoon water has collected or pooled up from deep underground springs over centuries. Wells are often dug over these lakes and villages built around them, however no village still remains in the desert, many of them falling to illness or other tragedies.

There is also stories of one oasis among the dunes, yet it has never been put on a single map, because it is never in the same place twice. The Wandering Oasis is a magical place, often flittering in and out of existence like a mirage. Very rarely does it appear, but those who find it are considered very blessed. Water from this oasis is pure and cool, and the few who have tasted it have lasted longer than anyone else while traveling over the sand, claiming the water refreshed them. The downside though is that the water from the oasis cannot be bottled, because it turns to sand once the spring vanishes again.
