With the rising of the sun, Sohyun cuddled up under her blankets and hid from the pesky streams of light. Her sleepy eyes kept shut tightly as the young angel tried to cling onto darkness as much as possible. Why couldn’t she have a power like time control? Then all Sohyun had to do was pause everything and sleep endlessly until she felt content, but no.

Groaning, she kicked at her black comforter and rolled onto her back. No doubt her blonde hair was a tangled mess, spread out over the pillow in a horrible display. With no luck in catching anymore sleep, Sohyun was up and preparing for the day early. Her restlessness was most likely due to the excitement of seeing Jinri today. It had been only a short while since they last saw each other, but even that was too much for Sohyun to handle.

After about two hours of lazily getting ready (she likes to go slow and take her time on everything) Sohyun came out looking her best in a casual pair of dark jeans and a white vneck, the front tucked in a little to show off her fake diamond belt. With coffee in hand, she set out to meet her close friend, for what seemed like the first time in forever.

Quickly Sohyun pulled out her phone and sent a short message,

✉ → Jinri ♡ { I’m on my way there now, see you soon <3 }

This was where Sohyun thrived, the night life. All around her bodies danced and drank themselves silly, their movements getting bolder with each new glass. The angel herself had already had a small glass of wine to start off the evening, but it was hardly enough to give her any real buzz. She was waiting for someone, a friend she acquired through clubbing. Honestly she didn’t know a whole lot about him, but every time they met up it was well worth her time.

Like most nights she came out with her party clothes, black high waisted shorts showing off clear and milky legs. Leaning forward on the bar counter she took one slow sip of her wine, lips leaving the glass with a small pop. What would they do tonight? Dancing and drinking were obvious, but Sohyun always wondered what else they would have thrown at them during their fun.

The thump of music felt soothing as the vibrations and waves hit her body. Unlike normal people, Sohyun could feel every bit of sound the speakers gave out like it was second nature. She could practically see the movement through the air, the music trapping everyone in its grasp. It seemed a pity no one else could enjoy it the way she did.

Very few times in Sohyun’s life has everything gone wrong in one day. That evening when she left for work all had been well. She looked ready to party in black leggings and a ripped up neon blue crop top, a pair of vibrant purple heels to match. The beginning of her gig was fine, people danced, had fun, and even lost themselves in her mix. Then like magic it all went to shit.

The first to happen was her laptop freaking out on her. All at once the music shut off and her computer with it. “Sorry! Give me one moment and I’ll have it back up.” Sohyun broke into a sweat with the narrowed eyes of the owner on her, fingers tapping away quickly to try and bring the music back on. It took a good ten minutes, but eventually she had her program up and running again with music pumping out of the speakers.

The angel had to resist the urge to use her power in her mini panic, but it all turned out well again. For another thirty minutes the club was lively and happy again. Then some asshole accidentally threw his shoe at her laptop. How? She had no fucking idea, but once again the music was down and Sohyun was freaking out internally.

This time the owner came up to her with his thick eyebrows drawn in anger. “Can’t you do anything right?” After that Sohyun figured she would never work at that club again. With her laptop packed up and all her things together on a table close by, Sohyun went to get her pay before leaving. She had a heated argument about the half cut in pay with the manager, and returned to her things only to find her expensive studio headphones gone.

With a lash of anger she left, one blow of vibrations blowing out the club’s speakers.

On the way home she had no luck with catching a taxi, and then the final blow. Stepping out to cross the street, her recently new purple heel broke. “You got to be fucking kidding me.” A whine escaped her lips and Sohyun felt utterly defeated. She took off the heel and finished crossing the street. Once across she slumped down onto the curb and rested her head in her hands.

Sohyun isn’t very greedy about much, but don’t ever try to get in between her and her sweets. She will literally fight you to keep her precious expensive chocolates all to herself. Her usually bright eyes will narrow on you and her body will protect her stash like a guard dog.
