i spent like 2 days on this in a feverish haze to get him just right. the armor isn't at all means accurate and is pulled from a visual library of various sources from multiple centuries and yeah. the piece is meant to emulate royal portraits but of course i had to throw in my own flair so i didn't go insane. hope you guys like this one :3

its one f the big pieces i've done this year where i've tried something new (photobashing) and made some progress on rendering tough materials (skin/faces and gold/matte armor). hope i can do more paintings like these in the future ^V^ the rendering is looser/more liberal than i would have liked as compared to a more finished rendered piece but alas. i have no energy and i'm actually late for his birthday by several days... his actual birthday is on the 7th of august but DOTF is celebrated on the 13th as it entails city-wide holidays and fun festivals! i could do more with this painting but honestly. im lazy forgive me yall
