There’s a point watching this video where the snare starts to sync up with the rain drops and it feels like they’re little energy zaps piercing the shield of austerity we hide our inner emotions behind. 

Psychedelic wizard casts a spell of heart-based magic. Sweeping, phasing arpeggios. A guitar which takes you galloping through tall emotional grass. Pop music for explorers.  Apply to a crowd in the outdoors, during the day, after a long night. 

There is a feeling to walking in the wooded areas of the pacific northwest. As someone who grew up in New Jersey, with no particular concept or emotional wavelength familiar to this feeling, it was a shocking thing to first encounter.  My first hike to the beach at the Evergreen State College. My first night in the dorms. The first sight of rain under the weird halo-like moon that forms around the moon. Once I was familiar with the depth of the feeling, the burned imprint of the seeing the vastness of now in so much oosnea and lichen. The smell of perfect air. The feeling became sought after, a deep pool of questions and mysteries and adventures free to explore. As I’ve begun adjusting in the third phase of my life, I find myself missing the feeling. Songs like this immediately transport me to that feeling. 

This is a lovely work. Leonard’s voice is a shepherd through this hour long exercise in spiritual understanding. I’ve found myself deep in wonder throughout this hour many times. 

I’ve been in love with Bahnsteig 23 since I found out they were releasing an Etbonz single. The hits keep on coming, and this one feels special. The track finds itself warming up the heavy lights. The gravitational rotations of the e-waves synchronize and the dance eruption reverses into a geological 808 rimshot portal. The maximal fun trip is an automatic frenzy machine. Try not to freakdance and the attempt at restraint will only build the vibe.

Played this track at the Fan Club campout, 2018 edition. Watched party people under the moon and stars in the field, next to the fire, and on the dirt dance floor all getting down. Had the eternal energy passing through all things. Felt like even the trees were grooving. Whole body release / power of natural energy. Freakin’ 

Kevin Shields awakens on a beach with nothing but sand for miles and no memory or knowledge of his past. He walks along the waterside, hoping to find answers. He hears a soft voice in a language he doesn’t understand and a familiar guitar tone. The beauty of the landscape is almost overwhelming, but is pierced by the melancholy of empty amnesia. 

Intro - nice touch - sounds from the dank cavern of the giant sea kraken. toke dank kraken, toke. 1:20 -dank kraken senses intruders. awkaens from stony brine. seeks out those who would harsh his mellow. 2:00 -build has given us a chase. dank kraken vs the narc whale. the fight is viscious and things are moving quick. 2:55 - haunting delayed out pads. overview of the undersea battle, strands of moonlight refract down towards the battle of the century 3:40 - sun rises .. and the battle rages on. dank kraken defending it's stash. 5:20 - kraken stands above the carcass of its vanquished foe.

Overall: love this jam dude. one of my favorites.
