i like british comedy and the month of august and tons of tv, art, and film <3 current rotation on here features photos i find cool and a healthy dose of vampires (subject to change!). follow my sporadically active side blog @sweet-sailing-sister if you want to know what cds i’ve been playing recently. useful tags under the cut!

• both louis and armand’s injuries are on their left sides — are we to assume they were caused by the same event?

• an obvious one but the narration — and by extension the auction — takes place after the events of qotd as lestat makes multiple references to akasha’s plan to get rid of 90% of the male population

• these were no doubt already acknowledged when the clip came out but lestat has the lovers by rené magritte on his apartment wall, hate and ashbury the molloy memoir is on sale alongside interview, and lestat picks up both a french and english language copy of the book, reading the english one first (before dropping it lol)

• shots from lestat’s onstage crashout: a vampire (i think magnus based on the clothes) bleeding out from a neck wound, a split-second flashback of lestat either backing away from something/someone or being pushed, louis in his wedding outfit in the crowd, lestat waking up after burying himself underground, people congregated around a large bonfire holding lit torches (the druids and feast of samhain marius recalls?), a fight (between lestat and a brother maybe?) in the dining hall in auvergne, vampire gabriella leaping towards someone blond in the same (?) location (this one was tricky i’m not super great at pausing on time), magnus dragging lestat from his bed, lestat draining louis on the altar, magnus drinking from a blond (presumably lestat), lestat in a waistcoat and white shirt flailing suspended in the air, lestat and gabriella leaning in for a kiss, nicki raging at lestat, lestat being unearthed by marius and drinking from his wrist, gabriella (i imagine dying in paris) on a chaise longue clutching a bloody towel/napkin, something gold being set down next to akasha (too lazy to bother working out what that is, someone else will have done i’m sure), lestat flying louis up into the air in new orleans, lestat at the trial (this shot is upside down and i think reversed), lestat on the night of his murder at rue royal, and lestat with his purple sunglasses

• the license plate on the car lestat crashes into the red carpet says “mojo”, the name of lestat’s dog

• the red carpet features the logo of “immortal properties by thomas pitt” alongside the dracula’s daughter hotel logo which is most likely a reference to tom cruise and brad pitt from the film

• shots from lestat’s hallucinations/memories whilst baby jenks is speaking to daniel’s camera: lestat killing in new orleans moments prior to his murder, nicki with vampire eyes laughing whilst lestat watches in the background, louis taunting lestat during their big fight, a return to marriage!louis in the concert crowd, and child lestat at the dinner table in auvergne stuttering

• the messages exchanged between lestat and gabriella shown in a shot of lestat’s phone screen read as follows:

(note: after gabriella’s message “here” displayed onscreen, she appears to send lestat three more messages which to me are pretty much impossible to make out)
