@meadhbhh you’re right! this is what I think a lot of (straight) people don’t understand — at no point in Killing Eve does the show pretend it’s healthy, there’s literally a line where Eve is told: “[Villanelle]’ll love you to death”. meanwhile toxic straight relationships have been sold to us at face value as romantic for decades with no acknowledgement that the dynamic is bad.

honestly, hundreds of rom-coms where a guy stalking a girl until she dates him is depicted as romantic have done far more harm to society than one (two, if you count hannibal) TV show about murderous gay people lmao

I once read a book with a straight romance where the guy and his crew burned down her house while her mother was inside over something she didn’t actually do and she and he still got together at the end of the book. Killing Eve is doing just fine.
