also why did they feel the need to remove the idea of gavaldon knowing about SGE the entire time??? it would have actually helped Sophie’s character better cos the series literally starts with her waiting all her life to be kidnapped

look i know i came back and promptly went on another mini-hiatus but hopefully i’ll be slightly more active once finals week is over for me and can freak out about the movie with the rest of yall

so it’s been a while.

first of all, im so so so sorry for just leaving without saying a word and essentially ghosting you all

after reading quests for glory, i was planning to take a mini break (because as many of you know it was A LOT to take in) but life... happened, and for my own peace and sanity i had to take a pause on a lot of things.

without getting into it, it was a really difficult time for me (dont worry no crimes were involved) but i considered this space in this fandom one of my happy places, and i didnt want to taint my time here while i was going through some serious sht. 

like i was lowkey using sge as a way to escape my problems at least for a little while, and it got to the point where i couldnt run from things anymore. it even got to the point where i started resenting myself and my interest in this series because i used it as an excuse to avoid certain issues of life (and im still working on forgiving myself for latching onto what tiny comforts i held on to then)

now, things are better for me (i think??) 

i graduated from university with top honors (tho i nearly didnt because i ran away for like a semester which is a story for another day haha) and now im on my way to becoming a professional teacher (tho i still have to take some classes since i still dont feel im quite ready yet)

anyway, i dont assume that most of yall will still remember me, given that the fandom has likely grown and changed over the years since i was gone. 

(ngl, im kinda proud, tho i really wished soman would just let the series rest already 

and yes, i did read acot but no i did not read otk (i couldnt do it anymore im sorry reading the summary + spoilers was enough of a headache) but i digress)

i still remember when i was still one of the 12 sge-focused blogs on this site, back when awwp was still fresh and the fandom here somehow grew and now i had more than 20 people to scream with me as we waited for tlea and the ending of the sge series (btch we really thought dfjdskf)

i remember staying up late at night to make edits, write headcanons, post that one sge reversed au fanfic, even make r*ph** content for the drama (the me back then was a completely different person ok ive changed and grown and developmed my old self before has definitely perished and she is not making a comeback), run an insta accnt and make those sge interviews that i never got to complete (honestly i have a lot of drafts on this site) 

i really did a lot, and im so so so grateful you were all here to celebrate with me, cheer me on, and share in my joys and pains when starting out, all that we had in common was love for the same books and characters

ive truly missed you all, and i wish youve all grown and bloomed into the people you were meant to me in this time. if youre still trying to figure things out, then youre not alone (cos i am DEFINITELY with you like honestly im just doing my best atp hsajkdhs)

that being said, am i truly back? probably not. like i said, im still learning more and more about myself, and i’d like to find some stability before i make anymore commitments i can potentially let go of again (and i’d rather not do that)

i will probably drop by from time to time (and before i actually briefly created another sge account so i could interact with you all again without the pressure of this account but that quickly fizzled out too i know im terrible) especially since the movie’s coming out this year

was my return prompted by the movie announcement? honestly i was planning to come back even before my graduation, but again, you know, life happened (sorry!!), but i promised myself that i would come back definitely before an official trailer dropped 

so like yes and no for that question

im doing fine and well. the fact that im here writing this message is proof of that. still learning. still creating. still forgiving. still here. im so grateful all of you. if agatha could hear and grant my wish, i would thank here for this opportunity to speak with you again.
