I started off when I was seven years old doing musicals. I was in ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘The Sound of Music,’ and my mum’s an actress. My parents divorced when I was young, and when she couldn’t find a babysitter, I was in the wings, sleeping.

A long time ago, in a country not so far away, I was eight years old, doing my best Darth Vader imitation.

He could still see his parents beaming up at him from the tattered old photograph, unaware that their lives, like so many of those around them, were drawing to a close.

When I was turning 28, I thought, ‘Shit, that sounds grown-up. What I am going to do?’ Then I saw a picture of me when I was nine wearing dungarees, and thought I should buy some. My friend then got me a pair of fairy wings, so I sat there on my 28th birthday in fairy wings and dungarees, and I’ve never been happier.
